Thanks! Max CAT is defenately worth the attention. Was able to animate the whole steam locomotive drawbar system just by rotating one bone))

Hi. Your videos are very useful and even unique since I can't find anymore videos about procedural animation. I would be very grateful if you would explain how to use the same procedural animation to make animations of walking sideways. In any case, thank you.

This is so stupid because the first video I found showed how to do it. You just need to change the direction value in the globals tab.

Do we need go to Hierarchy Pannel => Link info and set "Setup Mode" to "Animation controller" and "Layer Settings" to "Additive To Setup Pose" like in your older video that you mentioned?

One thing that was not clear to me, is the relationship between IK/FK and animation layers. I thought you could set one layer to FK only and another to IK only, but it seems not so...

Very nice if he is to walk with weapon first do I first link weapon to ik hand target then later ik target to hand? In biped was not possible gave circular reference. edit just tried to first link the object bone to the hand, advance some keys link object to world then next key have hand Ik to object bone. but it wont let me. seems same issue as in biped. I followed tutorial making object linked to another CAD pelvis. for characters that carry a weapon as they walk then switch to Ik how to do that? thanks!

So what's the difference between a CAT rig and using bones for the rig?
@razzor47085 жыл бұрын
Awesome tutorial! But i figure this out doing this without C.A.T. rig for weapon, just animating weapon part,as bones(it's done that way in Squad) - works fine. Next step - is belt fed machineguns Thanks you

Or also medieval/fantasy weapons: sword and shield, axes, spears, bows.

I tried replicating this, in my Case I have a bone the needs to have something attached to it. Upon creating the link constraint, the bone moves to the scene origin and changes it orientation. How do I fix this?

Dude you should dive deeper into link constraint with inheritance features....in case if you want a bone to follow only in a certain axes...it's a little tricky and not very clear how to do)
