Tony, there isn’t really any boxing clubs in Dumfries, Scotland. Could you do a full boxing drill, 20 minutes hiit or something on the “century Bob” or something close to an equivalent? Keeping weight on the front foot, not leaning too much, keeping hand up, and punching to the body as part of the roll are all useful for an issue with rolling I find a lot in my sparring. I practice jeet kune do, and we spar almost every class. Often, when I throw a hook or cross, my partner will roll, heavily leaning forward. All I need to do then is clinch. I have control of the head and can go for a guillotine choke, or tap the back of the head (not punch, just enough to let him know that in a fight, he'd take a punch to the back of the head, which is extremely dangerous).

I like it, but stepping 90 degrees to the side leaves you open for a left hook. I was taught to step in at 45 degrees so yor head comes in under the armpit and you come up with your forehead resting on the outside of the shoulder. This takes you out of range, you are safe and in full control to do whatever you want.
@RellyrellREACTS2 жыл бұрын
You dont have to see every punch to avoid it. Just move your head in the correct direction regardless rather u see it or not it will be avoided then step back to reset if you want
