I have cut my sessions down because of your advise, only 53 and a seasoned runner, lots of strength work at gym, gymnastic flexability work (past life) hit a wall in training and reached a fatigued state that took weeks of down time and lower intensity sessions to recover from. 6 weeks later and getting back into training but at a more sensible level. affected so many aspects of day to day life, docs did multiple blood tests, and since also affected my mild asthma also had a chest x ray. My sleep was dire, never been a great sleeper but hit the bottom of the barrell with sleep quality. An old femoral neuropathy also flared up again.... so over 50's beware you will hit fatigue if not careful.... Listen to Lindsay.

Neuropathies are no joke I hope you find a knowledgeable doctor to help you. If you have not seen a doctor about It please do soon. My mother is scary with her neuropathy. I wish you can be in control of your neurooathy and not vice versa.

I’m a big fan of a 10 day cycle, 1 hard 1 long run, cross training for vo2max (bike swim or row), with strength, 3 easy runs.

Thank you coach for the advice. Can you please do a video on how to do speed work after 50?
