I would love an Armor Smith tutorial that includes how to take your measurements right ! You can also import a 3D scan into Armour Smith I believe , so you can merge the two last methods :) Just a bummer that the good scanning Apps are all on the Apple store because for once Iphones actually have a feature that is unique and useful for the Cosplaying community 😬

I'm so excited to see the increase in content from your channel! This year has been the first year I dive into 3D printing and cosplay in general. I've been practicing with the arduino and I'm still very beginner but learning it will be a valuable skill in being creative! I bought some ws2812B LEDs and find it's a lot to take in. There are plenty of resources, but it definitely gets overwhelming. I think you are good at putting things in simple terms so IF possible, could you make a video on how to design and hook up LEDs into your projects? Or maybe explaining the differences between different micro controllers, batteries (tradeoffs, recharging), wiring, electrical topics, etc. Otherwise, glad to see your video Frank and thanks for reading me :D

Looking at the ratings of Armorsmith it would appear that it has gone downhill since you made this tutorial. Many crashing and other issues reoported. It also went up to $40, yikes, I will look for alternate methods since they have such poor ratings now. Maybe they will eventually fix their software. Love your videos, I am making a Mando cosplay and so far I have the helmet perfect, just need to figure out the best method to measure the body armor now.

Thank you so much for the help with the 3D model of how to scale and march your body with the 3D file. My only question is if you were like me and want to make an iron man helmet what do you suggest the scaling I should do with percentage with a 21.5 inch head?, or what is the equation to solve that problem?

About a year after the original iron man film was released I was visiting a fairly famous comics and scifi store in london's West end. They had in their glass cabinet a 3ft iron man with lit eyes etc costing some £2,000. Been thinking lately of buying a 3d printer so I can produce this myself as I have aways wanted it even after all this time... Could I rdo this with a 3d file of one of these suits by scaling it down rather than up?

I'm curious if their armored Deadpool is to the same scale. If you can make the Ironman work at 5'8" then I should be golden at 5'10". For the most part anyway. I have armorsmith but haven't really tinkered with it other than initial setup. So I'll be looking forward to that video.

I know this is an older video but for some reason, my meshmixer doesn’t let me click from point to point anywhere to measure my models. You are able to click pretty much anywhere and it makes the line wherever you want. I’m unable to do that. Is there some sort of setting for this? The only line that ever shows up is off to the side or not at the widest parts that I want to measure. Been frustrated for weeks trying to figure this out.

You need to change the units in the Scandy Pro export screen or change the units in meshmixer. by default, Scandy Pro exports in units of meters. You can change that to cm, mm, or inches in the export screen - just tap the you choise on the 'Scale' option before hitting 'Export'.

Love your videos, but it's always the same tutorial for either helmets or things that go around your arms/waist. Why not the difficult things like chest pieces? I know you do a video about a paid program, but some of us don't want to spend money on another program. How about a rough tutorial about chest pieces and large pieces of armor that don't wrap around your body?
@Thebeardedviking8656 ай бұрын
Honestly it’s the same for a chest piece. Armor smith is definitely worth it. Took me no time at all to size all of my pieces to fit me. Nothing is 100% perfect. Some things are trial and error but with armorsmith it makes it 100 times easier.
