I’m setting up a bio active terrarium and getting it dialed in before I add anything more than isopods and spring tails. So I have this grow light (aquarium led light) inside the enclosure (it’s a vision cage). At the peek of the day (it ramps up and down) very close to the light it gets to 83F but at the bottom of the enclosure it never gets more than 75 and about 77-79 in the middle. So I understand a gradient like that lets them thermo modulate as they move to an ideal spot. But is it dangerous to have it at 82-83 anywhere inside? I turned the intensity down a bit hoping it will cool it a little more. But I wanted to see if I’m over thinking it.

Boil the sticks if you found them outside, but of course wait for them to cool down before placing them into the cage if there is a crested gecko inside.

No, not at all. For a crested gecko you should have at least 40x40x80 (80 being the height). Also I should mention that this whole enclosure is done poorly and would count as animal abuse in germany. Look around on youtube to see some proper enclosures.

They need a light but not a heat light, keep it between 73-78F, you would want a light to mimic the sun, I recommend a ZooMed.

No lights, because they are nocturnal. if you add a heat source it depends on the temp of your home. and then you would use a heat mat. NOT a light

Daylight is fine, unless you keep them in a dark basement. Geckos might have stunted growth if they are unable to distinguish day from night, so giving them some day light is a good idea. Also as long as temps are 70 - 80 F range - and humidity peaks at over 80% and drops to under 60% for at least an hour a day. That's all you need.
