To convert the crypto to cash and deposit in your bank, you would need to sell the crypto on an exchange and then transfer the money to your bank.

Great presentation! I do have a concern that I've run accross. I've set up a hidden wallet and use my PIN and 12 word phrase to access no problem. However I once (it's not there since I unplugged and resetablished connection to Trezor T) got a message that to use device I have to set up a passphrase - I froze...the instructions talk about adding a passphrase would create an "empty" wallet but the whole preocess is opaque and scarry. Do you have any thoughts on my situation? Again GREAT presentation and I'm searching for details to calm me down. I know that "your keys - your BTC" but this added wrinkle of adding a passphrase to a hidden wallet is new and scares the he#l out of me lol.

Yes, when you get the new Trezor T, it’s going to ask you whether you want to create a new wallet or restore from previous. At that point you can use the 12 word back up phrase of your Trezor one

Thank you for taking time to help us learn how to do this. I ran into a problem yesterday. I set up my wallet following your video. I did a small test send of of bitcoin and then the same for etherium. I then tried to send all of my etherium to my wallet. I went through the same process. Coinbase showed that the etherium was sent to the address I gave it. But, I have yet to receive the etherium into my wallet over 24 hours later. It only shows the test amounts. I do not know what to do now. Please, please help me!

There is presently a problem with Trezor being able to send Theta tokens . . . Theta says you can enter your Trezor seed into a Ledger Nano and access your funds via the NANO . . . is there a video out there that shows how to do this?

Great video. But hey, I set up my Trezor successfully or so I thought. But the Trezor is now asking for a passphrase when I disconnected and reconnected it. Why? I did not set a passphrase. I chose a standard wallet, not a hidden wallet, How do I know I didn't set up a hidden wallet accidentally. I did not set a passphrase, period. I also know because I filmed the whole setup steps using Camtasia. How to get the Trezor to not ask me for a passphrase? This seems like a flaw. I don't have any crytpo in there yet, so at least that's good. Just that it's now destroyed my confidence in the device. What to do now? Is there some other solution other than doing a complete wipe and starting again?

Your video is incomplete. With trezor online support being subpar, clear instruction on what is required to do to recover Model T wallet (WITH crypto previously on it) after a forced firmware upgrade that wipes out hidden wallet.. Are the private keys safe?.. how much manual rebuild is needed to get back to the crypto before Trezor forced a rebuild do to new firmware

Excellent step-by-step tutorial, thanks. Could you do a video of how to transfer Theta token and TFuel from the online Theta wallet to the Trezor T. I think I've worked it out, and the theta wallet confirms my test transfer, but I have no confirmation on my Trezor account. It's a little disconcerting, to say the least. From what I understand it has to be sent to an ETH wallet, which I have set up on my Trezor and used the address accordingly. On the boards, I've noticed many are having the same issues. I can't find any decent tutorials on YT either. I'm sure you could nail it for everyone.

I have learned that you can recover your crypto using any competitor wallet that supports the bit 39 or bit 44 encryption protocol. Most wallets support these protocols. We are not at risk if one wallet vendor dissolves. Of course the master seed is the bridge, so always protect the seed phrase.

You should be able to go into your Ethereum wallet in the Trezor suite and click on tokens. Shiba Inu will show up as a token. If you haven’t tried to move it from Coinbase yet just send it to the Ethereum address of your Trezor wallet

The device never connects to the Internet so it wouldn't be possible for it to know your balance. You need to connect to a computer or smartphone for that.

@@rza4227 yes. You can use the Trezor Suite or Electrum on a computer, or Mycelium on an Android device. Internet is required to check your balance. You can also export your master public key to check your balance. In that case Internet is required but not your Trezor device (unless you want to make a transaction of course).

Ok. Passphrase issue resolved. How? Dunno. It just did. Rebooted pc. Opened Trezor Suite and instead of asking me for the passphrase, it just asked me for my pin as it should normally. Still that's a concerning message to receive. However, there's something that I am just unable to understand and this is driving me crazy. I'm told that my Trezor is for storing my private key and my "crypto assets". But my understanding is that my crypto never leaves the blockchain, so how could my hardware wallet store my "crypto assets"? Where is my crypto? Also, if I lose my trezor or accidentally dunk it in my fish tank, then if I get another hardware wallet, I understand I can regain access to my "wallet" with that new hardware device. But how? I understand that the private key is stored on the hardware wallet. If so, how can a new hardware wallet restore my key? Isn't it lost with the device? Where is the key really stored? Is it stored in the Tresor suite software I downloaded onto my computer? Is it in my wallet "account" on the blockchain, giving the lie to the notion that a hardware wallet stores my private key and my "crypto assets." Is there a distinction between my wallet and my account. " If my wallet is a hardware one but my crypto is not in it, then where is my crypto? All this confusing double-talk is mind-blowing. How does anybody understand this stuff. Good explanations are rarer than rocking horse shit. My kingdom for the least bit of clarity.
