How To Setup Your Epson Printer - Learn To Print, Scan, Copy & Send A Fax Today

I'm replacing an old Brother tabloid-size printer with an Epson WF-3620 this weekend. It helps to see the size of the box that the 3620 comes in before I head to Best Buy to purchase it. And it also helps to see what size the printer is unpacked, and watch the initial setup process, as I'll be going through that myself over the weekend. Thanks for posting this!

Setting up my WF-3620 this morning; noticed the setup poster doesn't show which order the ink cartridges are inserted in. Probably the same order as with the old Brother printer, but it's easier to just rewatch your video than to run over to where the old printer is now sitting on the kitchen floor and open it up. I would note that the WF-3620 is enough narrower in its longest dimension that I can just fit it across the short side of the old TV cart I use as a printer stand (the tabloid-size Brother printer had to sit parallel with the long side of the TV cart -- which put the control panel facing away from where I sat at the computer).

I forgot that when one lifts the frame over the ink cartridge compartment, the stickers showing which color ink goes where are shown then. Oops!

Thanks for watching but to print from the bottom you do that on the computer. Before you print open up print preferences and select the size you want to print from the tray at the bottom

It is waste ink maintenance box they say it will last thousand of pages before needing replacing the ink heads are not included with the cartridge they are built in to printer , So they self clean every so often , not shore how often and a small amount of ink used ends up in the waste ink maintenance box and when full needs replacing. , Using the original ink gives best results any thing else could cause problems with printer .

We mainly wanted a printer that could print black only. When the ink was very low in black it wanted it replaced. We replaced it but now it wants a color one too. We do not print stuff often and use very little color. Ink is too expensive to HAVE to have the color cartridges too, but, does this machine have to have the color cartridges to to be able to use only black printing??? If so, how do we by pass it wanting the color ink also?

I have the epson wf 2540 and i can scan from the computer but cannot scan from the printer button as it tells me it is not connected. I have wireless connection and the green light is on and it tells me "make sure the computer is connected" I can scan from the PC but not from the printer button control. How do i get the printer to know my PC name so i can just click ok and scan using the "last known connection" as stated.

One of the most confusing steps to accomplish is configuring the screen for date, time, etc. There isn't any indication that a step has been accomplished. This is the 3rd machine (returned the other two) that I've received from the Epson store. The previous 3630's did not print in black ink. I've since learned that the cartridges for this machine are 252, not 200, which is what the other two came with. Thanks for taking time to do this video with great patience.

Hey man ! Mr. Oxmanagain ! how are ya? one more time i came up with a question that is some how new and important to me but may be ordinary for you.... Epson WF 7610 , i want to print on Envelopes, how?

If you are using Mircosoft word or another editor you go and set up what and how you want to print the letter. Next, simply pull out the paper tray and adjust the tabs to accommodate the size of the envelope. Pull out the tray, take out any paper you have in there. Next, you will see 2 tabs mark 1 and 2, place the envelope in the tray and pull the tabs until they touch and the envelope and push the tray back in. On the LCD make the proper change and then you are ready to print.

@@summerli6773 that is a software issue. You have to change the settings within your phone meaning adjust the size of print or it will print to the default setting. Which is smaller than in the middle. I don't have that printer anymore I upgraded to a new one but I do remember you could adjust the settings within the software.

The reason I gave 4 stars for tech support (which I don't think this would classify as tech support) is because once you turn the printer on, it does require a little bit of start up time which may bother some who are in a hurry to quickly print something. The best way to set up your Epson printer, is to set it on a hard surface and smash it with a sledgehammer. Then go by any other printer.
