Technically yes, the original Mangaka of one punch man had 0 knowledge of drawing but his story caught attention of One of,if not the greatest illustrator of our time Yusuke Murata. But ..... The chances of something similar happening are pretty low, so I'd recommend you to learn some basics for at least about 6 months. I wanna be a mangaka myself and learning to draw too, if you wanna learn to draw and dont know from where should you start, check out Marc Brunet, he is one of the greatest art teachers on KZbin, FOR DIGITAL ARTISTS.

Thank you for this video! When I try to make the layer that help prevent you from shading outside the lines I can't get my lines to show back up again even though I did the filling in and lines on different layers. Do you know why that might be?

I think he did in previous videos. Practice shapes. Draw shapes and forms (2D and 3D shapes). People watch (not in a creepy way), draw quick sketches. If you draw shapes, forms and draw from life regularly I can almost guarantee you'll see a world of difference. The great Chuck Jones, of Looney Tunes fame, was said to have told his artists working for him to draw from observation.
