Can I test it first to see how it works, before the actual meeting starts? I want to show the powerpoint saved as show. Do I have to use the normal powerpoint extension

Good questions - You can set up a meeting with just yourself to test. For PowerPoint Live, you need to use the standard saved file PPT

@@ReadySteadyExcel Hey! Thanks for the reponse. I figured out how to do it since I asked this. For your interest, it can be done by sharing the Powerpoint window and using ALT F5 to enter presenter view rather than using the browse feature on Teams. This way it doesn't seem like people get the option to take control. Good luck with future videos!

Brilliant. Really clear and concise. Always something to learn. Thanks you. The only draw back I have found with MS Teams and pptx sharing is if I need to share a video it seems to have to be via window or desk top. If I embed the video as your previous clip showed how to do it doesn't seem to play for the audience. Is there away around this? I can't find one if there is!

I've just tried this and the attendee needs to play the video themselves even though I've set it to play automatically and I've prevented private viewing. I can see why this would be annoying. Great instruction, cheers! I do have an issue with audio on the slides, however, I have added an audio clip to a couple of the slides, which play in Presentation Mode on the laptop, but not if I do it through Teams.... I have tried all sorts to get music to play from the computer to no avail. Any thoughts on how I can do this please? Thank you so much!! ;-))

Hi Ahlem, I'm keeping very well thanks. The audience will just see your presentation in PowerPoint Live. If enabled they can see your slide deck but nothing else. Click Private View to stop the audience from clicking through your slides.

When I use this method, all is well until I reach an animated slide which then doesn't animate, and also slides that I have hidden in my deck are shown. If it helps, I am not the host but an invited attendee for training workshops I run.

Hi Sue, I had another look at this. If you click on the slides in the slide deck, it won't show the animation and will display hidden slides. However, if you click the navigation arrows or the main slide, it should work perfectly.

Thanks for the feedback. There was an issue where the video wouldn't play automatically when following this method, the attendees had to press play from their end, even if it was set to play automatically.
