I was looking on Amazon and online, and I went to a cooking store looking for a "lettuce shredder." I had used my food processor before, but I used the shredder and pulverized the lettuce. Since I could not find a lettuce shredder, I turned to YT and found u. I never thought to try the slicer. So, thank you very much.

Earlier this year, I began making my own bread and using home fresh milled flour as well. My teenagers love it, but my son mentioned he missed Subway type bread rolls. Well, I was determined to find the best recipe for FMF - and I did!! He LOVES them! A few weeks later he said "All that's missing is the shredded lettuce". Well, that was an easy fix, I just took my knife and cut that lettuce into shreds. He was so happy and that lettuce was going fast! So a few weeks later, I thought to use my food process to "shred" a couple heads of lettuce. Of course, I used my shredder attachment disk. Oh the horror!! I ended up with the terrible pulverized lettuce you did. Now, I know your "right way"!! I have a head of lettuce in my fridge just waiting to be thinly cut! THANK YOU!!! I can't wait to try it tomorrow.

Do you know a 8 cup or a 10 cup food processor ,that grates coconut etc,would be good to know ,the one on video is great but it's pricey and too large for a family of 4 or 6 .And also a waste of money if you don't use regularly. I would probably use a food processor 1 or twice a week maximum. I have been looking for days but can't decide .thank you

Am I the only one that saw a bug in there when she cut the second head of lettuce ? 😂😂- I worked at Submarina as a teenager, and our lettuce always had bugs or caterpillars in them. I used to carefully wash all the lettuce to get them out but my boss was like “don’t waste your time” - ok! Everyone gets bonus protein with their sandwiches!

By cutting the head into quarters, you've already done 90% of shredding the head. Keep going with your knife and you won't have to cleanup the food processor. You'll probably also save a lot of time because you've already set up for it. If you're going to be shredding for eighty people, yeah. Go for the processor. But if you have to do all that work to get the head small enough for the feed tube, why wouldn't you just keep going with your knife? If you just want some lettuce for tacos, why go to all that trouble and additional cleanup? How much shredded lettuce do you really need?
@SkillCuisine4 жыл бұрын
