So my problems within my runs are that I can't hit the notes fast enough. I can easily predict the next notes within the additional tiers on a slower level, but when I try to speed it up, the notes blur together. What should I be doing to improve the separation between my notes?
@jessdossantos87478 жыл бұрын
Halocene break the riff down and practice it realllll slow. once you can hit them perfectly at a steady tempo, speed it up little by little. it's like a drummer. you're not born with crazy chops, you have to build them up. start slow
@martinngina957 жыл бұрын
Halocene I have this same exact problem drives me nuts. I try to snap my fingers slowly first to get it and then fast while I'm practicing.

Go here if you want to learn how to sing like a pro: HootSing. com
@FlyingHat7 жыл бұрын
Just keep practicing the same riff a capela over and over until it's viable. Start by doing it at the fastest speed you can do successfully, and gradually speed it up. Practice every speed step until it's clear, and speed up until you reach normal speed. Then do it with the singer/the song until you're smiling because of success. You should probably be able to do it within a full day or in the course of a week at most.

You sir, have truly cracked the code.There are many sites and tutorials about riffing, some of them are quite informative. But there is no other site on the entire internet that does what your does. No one else has explained where riffs come from or how they are generated. Your triangle really is a work of genius. I didn't get it at first until you talked about the basic riff vocabulary and the riffs associated with different genres. Then you combined the basic riffes to create longer riffs. No one else has developed a system that internalizes the riff vocabulary, that sir is revolutionary!! And your vocals are no joke! Thanks again my brother.

Yes if u take your time, don't strain. Know where to put your voice when going through octaves ( chest,mix/mask,head) Madeline Harvey's videos would be great for exploring and expanding range. Since watching her I've discovered I can go from a D3 to a G6 without straining. I just need to tune it up on the high end ☺️

This is so good for ALL musicians including vocalists. Guitarists, Bassists, Keyboard players, Sax, Trumpet ... literally every instrument on the spectrum can benefit from such info. I teach this stuff to my students here in the UK and it always hits the spot ... particularly when one starts introducing passing sharps n flats on the way e.g. minor 3rd on the way to the major or flatted 5th on the way to the 5th .... maybe even a raised 5th on the way to a possible 6th ;-)
