Thank you! This was just the tutorial I needed!! I’m doing a swatch of the honeycomb stitch. 7 years of crochet and other fiber arts under my belt, but I’ve only dabbled in knitting. This was extremely helpful!

The pattern i am working on says to s1pw but doesn't specify if the yarn should be in front. Should it be in front?

Do you have a photo of the finished stitch? If you can see a yarn float (horizontal strand of yarn) in front of a stitch on the side with the slipped stitch then it is a SL1PW wyif. If you can’t see any difference and it just looks like a knit stitch then it’s with the yarn held in the back of the work. Hope that helps ❤️
