Which one of these 4 ways is your favourite to spice things up? ;)

The thing is, so many people think you fall in love once (with the same person) and it's just happy-go-lucky forever, which isn't the case. You fall in love with the same person over and over again. That's how you make it work. And the reason most relationships crash and burn around the 1 year / 2 year marks is because most people are ego driven lovers, so ... for example, like, when you meet someone you bond from things you have in common, right? You look for people who share certain interests with you and those interests draw you closer, so you start to see yourself in them. What happens over time is you get to know them better and the person starts to become less like you, because you notice other aspects of their own identity and, therefore, are less attracted to them. Basically, most people want to date themselves. And I'm not exception lol. My 13 year long partner is basically me in male form. Anyway, I learned about the ego driven love theory in my sociology class and always found it fascinating, so I thought I'd share 🤷🤷

GREAT IDEAS, Kit! One question, what if you're like me and you're saving yourself for marriage? What about making things interesting in conversation and on dates with your man/woman?

Thanks! Well first off I commend you for waiting until marriage, that's incredible! And a real credit to you. Well No. 2 can still work :) but I'd definitely say travelling together would be amazing for you guys because you create new experiences together. Ultimately, that's what it's all about, creating new experiences together :). Also, finding a hobby that you both enjoy, maybe even one where you compete against each other like tennis, ping pong or snooker. That creates a great environment for you both to push each other to better yourselves, hopefully not just in that hobby, but in your relationship to. Hope this helped!

@@stayslickwithkit Thanks! I'm worth it! My future husband is worth it!! I want to be the example for all ladies!!! Yeah, I've heard that about hobbies. I'm not seeing anybody now, but I see myself as the Best Wife Ever, so I wanna be prepared! Thanks Kit! Great advice!

I really like the idea of not seeing each other naked unless you're being sexual btw. I think it would be a great way to tease, like you keep yourself covered somehow...maybe walk around in your towel to build tension, ect. I totally get this, like it almost desexualises the body when you see it in some scenarios, like eating Cheerios.

The date nights is a good idea too (sorry commenting as I watch here lol). And the thing is, date nights don't need to be this really expensive thing - a date can be a picnic in the park, it's more about taking that time. And no sex in bed! I like that. In terms of the sexting, I think, "I did the washing up" would work the best to seduce me. I actually saw this meme, where this husband sent pictures of him sexily cleaning the house to his wife. Hilarious.
