Thanks Will...Squatting isn't a problem....it's the getting up again that is difficult.

I have your book. It's great! I have had 5 spinal surgeries and I have Ostero-Arthritis in my knees. Squats are very painful and essential for mobility because I cannot bend my lower back because of fusion. The book has helped more than many of the therapists I have seen over the years.

Hi Will. I’m only 56 but have osteoarthritis almost everywhere and am consequently very overweight and unfit. I’ve bought your book and I’ve signed up with an over 50s personal trainer who has me started on the mini squats. It is embarrassing given I used to exercise daily in my 20s but I am where I am and I’m determined to get stronger and manage my pain better. I have cervical spondylosis too and any exercises for that would be welcomed as that plus menopause are stopping me sleeping! Thanks.

Thank you so much for ordering my book, I hope you find it packed full of interesting information. It's great to hear you've recently started meeting with a personal trainer, I hope they're able to offer some brilliant support for what you're experiencing. It sounds like you have clear goals and strong motivation to achieve them, which is important. I have lots of videos on my channel which may be able to assist in your goal of building strength, managing your pain, and improving your sleep. I have also added your request to my list of future video suggestions. I'm wishing you all the best ☺

I’ve had knee pain which actually was an ankle problem. The PT has been great at increasing ankle movement. I’ve been doing split squats, but I want to try the heels on towels because I think I may get more range with this variation. Thanks, Will.
@HT-Physio5 күн бұрын
Absolutely, ankles are often overlooked when we consider the areas that support squats. Great to hear you have a brilliant PT to work with. I hope you're able to put this variation to good use!

I have a bulging disc and suspect it's from squats, aside from doing the stretches I've learned from one of your videos, can I benefit from wall squats without damaging my lower back? I believe my core isn't strong enough for squats, thus my disc bulge. Thanks! 😊
