Thanks Will. You are encouraging me not be be a quitter, not accept that I can't do things as I age. If you keep at it, you can still put heavy things on the top shelf. It's use or lose it time in my 70's! I just pay more attention to working out safely, but not quitting. And resting, too.

Another incredible video by the always-amazing Will Harlow. His explanations and demonstrations are always spot-on, and his exercise choices are always research-based. I can't believe that fewer than 5% of people who view these videos give him a thumbs up. Do your friends a favor and like and share this great resource for over 50s. Thanks, Will, for a great reminder about the exercises we should continuously do to stay young and younger-looking. 🥰

Great compilation, Will! I already love the Heel Raise on a step and Reverse Lunge. I need to do more of the "One Armed Row," as at the end of a taxing day, one of my Rhomdoid muscles already feels a little weak and stretched. I've overlooked the "Chin Tuck" in the past, but I can tell I need to be doing that! And finally the "Half Crunch" has been a missing piece to my abdominal muscles strength training! I will incorporate these 5 into my top exercises learned from your videos and "Thriving Beyond Fifty." Had a doctor's visit yesterday and she was greatly impressed with my progress since 6 months ago, only worried that I gain more weight. (Eating healthier, I feel better, have a better appetite and some muscles by adhering to your valuable exercises! 👍

You can reverse aging somewhat. I’m almost 65. The first 3 months of 2024 I stopped activity and stayed in bed watching U tube and drinking all the time. I lost a lot of strength and balance. At the beginning of 2024 I could manage a 5 gallon bottles of water, I could ride a kick scooter. By April I couldn’t balance on the kick scooter, I could handle two gallons of water. Mid April I cut out the hard liquor (switched to light stuff and didn’t get drunk). Started exercising and it took a few months to get better. Today I’m better but not back to my January strength. Posture? Practice holding the shoulders back. I ‘control’ the food also. I feel younger, not like 20 years ago though.
@rinninАй бұрын
What do you mean by you could manage 5 gallons of water? Drinking or lifting?

The first 3 exercises were taught in previous episodes, so it would help us if the clickable transcript named and time-tamped the 5 exercises. The Chin Tuck & Half Curl pinpoint the most pronounced vision of old age. #4 would help anybody of any age with Tech Neck..

Can exercise really reverse the aging process, or is it more about slowing it down?
@mechthildhaeussler5736Ай бұрын
Having injured my hamstrings, I can not do the rows due to the required pose. I fixed a TRX band to the wall of my living room (strong hook required) and it seems to work also for my posture (accelerating the process too, as both sides can be done at the same time).

Thanks, Will! Anything I can do for the calf cramps I get any time I exercise those muscles more than just walking?
@jodenabeale4355Ай бұрын
I am not any professional, but I have to stretch my calf muscles after working them or I get “Charlie horses” in them. You can google calf stretches and many exercises will show. So just try giving them a good 5 to 10 minute stretch immediately after working them.
