Having a huge and strong back is one of the best things a body builder or a person in general could have. A solid back opens you up and allows full expression of your other muscles. And you look jacked + feel like the ultimate bad ass

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.. was checking the comments to see if anyone might have mentioned that his form was off. I'm more speculating but I think it might be better to stop when your arms reach the top of your chest.. just from trying the motion (..sitting at my computer..) it seemed like if I went all the way to my chin, I stopped feeling it in my back and I couldn't keep my shoulder's tight.

@barrettrifles Why? Doing shoulder extension actually rotates the lower part of scapula so that serratus actually stretches during this exercise (it does a bit of exentric isotonic musclework though when returning the move and inhaling). Benchpressing with your shoulders only isolates Serratus Anterior

I wasn't use to doing these. Pretty new. My lats are so sore. I almost over did it. Still trying to get the soreness out after 2 weeks. It must hit the muscle differently than a chinup or pulldown because I do chinups with no soreness.

This movement helps strengthen our back to prepare for the muscle up ? Not even able to do the kipping muscle up yet, current level of 8-10 strict pullups to the chest, 15-20 straight bar dips. . . Still need more explosive pulling power and height . . So is it the strength or technique or both ? Thanks

You were well spoken and displayed the exercise perfectly and the camera work was pretty good however you might want to mention in the title or at least one of the first things you say in the video what muscle it works. I think most would be scrolling four back exercises or bicep exercise, not cable pushdown or curls. Just my two cents worth, keep up the good work

@okailo hey probly too late to give advice on the lat pushdown thing lol. I've been struggling with it for so long until I just totally listened to my body and I lean forward a fair bit when the bar comes up to chin height. so when you bend forward a bit it's actually more like head height. I flex the shit out of my back tightening my butt and move slow on the negative with medium to medium light weight at first. if it doesn't feel right, it's probably not right so listen to ur body
