Rest day ? 😥
@NakkitelineАй бұрын
how long have you done this division? you have any deloads? how hard you go cardio day? body really does need a rest day but if you go only zone 2 when you do cardio you might get away with it atleast for some time. but overtraining doesn't happen immediately, it builds up, so you do need atleast deload weeks every 4-8 weeks or you will overtrain 🤔 it really depends if you don't push yourself too hard on those cardio days or atleast one or two of them, but if you push in every session in those too you're probably gonna overtrain in some point. and that leads often to injury, which keeps you out for some time. it's really pretty important to rest and deload. i'm interested how it's going because it's a good split otherwise! i'd probably just walk on the weekends that way you could get some work in but give also that valuable time to rest 👍🏻

I am 73 and do what you call hybrid training and have to smile. When Inwas young we used tindoncircuit training - weights, isometrics, followed by a run. The idea was - and still is - to get as fit as possible. Now one thing: this is not about about body styling, or body building. The goal in life must be to achieve optimal fitness overall. This is essential when you are older. Today, of course, "real" althlete train for thier specific sport. That means that there will be a trend towards building strength or endurance to match your sport. But - let us face it - how many of us are competitve athletes over the longnterm? Most young people tend to seek a partner, and get somewhere in their jobs. Later they drop out of sport and then - like me - have a hard tine later in life trying to regain fitness. So hybrid training, great, we did it years ago, but now you have a new name, and there is lots of "science" telling you what is right (???). I like your enthusiams, really, and I wish you a great hybrid day. See you when you are 80.

Just one question, isn't it better to train each body part twice per week? I have seen this everywhere and I know you can achieve a great physic as long as you work hard but with it being more ideal shouldn't it be preferred? But then if you do for example a full body workout then you won't really have time to do both weighs and calisthenics everyday so it lacks in this department. Any clarification/advice?
@dalati4 ай бұрын
In my opinion I’ve found that training each body part once a week gave me the best results. This ensured maximum recovery and performance on the training days.

@jaloedits10 Yeah but do they have better strength numbers, vertical jump, 40 yard dashes, and broad jumps all at the same time? That was my point; which one was most athletic, not which sport is better. Soccer players are just skinny and have good speed endurance with agility, which is one dimensional. The fastest nfl player is faster than the fastest soccer player, and the strongest nfl player is stronger than the strongest soccer player.
@monkeyy_5227 күн бұрын
@jaloedits10 Their leg strength is not elite. Do you think the strongest football player squats more than any nfl player? Lamine yamal is 159 pounds. Just because someone is shredded does not make them strong. He may be good at football but he is still extremely weak compared to an nfl player. I'm not dissing your sport i'm just saying it lacks the physicality and strength aspect. I think rugby players are also amazing hybrid athletes too, and football players are great athletes in their own right; speed endurance, agility, and skill.
@monkeyy_5227 күн бұрын
@jaloedits10You're talking about the highest speed clocked in game with full pads and helmets on, compared to a football player with no gear on. That's totally different from straight up speed. Their 40 yard dash is not beating the fastest NFL 40 yard dash.

Yeah definitely not ideal for max muscle growth, what I do is focus primarily on lifting, training 6 days a week with 1-2 lifts per day (one big one like Chest and back & one small one like forearms and abs) then on days where my legs are recovered I do sprints. Feeling good and managing to fit in 1-2 sprint sessions per week and putting on crazy size

Try to avoid too much sugar and fast food; make sure your meals are mostly greens and protein instead of carbs and grains For example, if you eat rice and beans with chicken, try to limit the rice and go harder on the chicken and vegetables
