A natural hair journey can really be a God led self love journey in disguise. I exclusively wear my natural hair and I’ve noticed that other black women at my job have started to wear their hair out too. It makes me so happy, sometimes it takes a while to see why you’re placed where you’re placed.

such a beautiful comment, God bless you, God is with you always ❤ He made us perfect the way we are, Psalm 139:14, "I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your Works are wonderful, I know that full well". In Jesus Name, Amen 💕

There comes a time in a black woman’s life when they say they can’t take it anymore. I was 22. I watched so many natural hair videos and tried so many products until I found my routine! It was a struggle but I finally learned and my hair is growing! 😊

15 was the age I really took care of my own hair. I got tired of the torture of perms and relaxers😭. So one day in highschool, I was playing with my hair and it started to curl up. I was like what is thissss?! lol. It was up from there

My biggest lesson with my hair was really defining my own routine. What may work for someone else may not work for me! I learned my hair needs moistureeee. If I have to watch my hair or recondition every 2 days that’s what I have to do. Wash n go are my go to lol

Wow. That was what I needed to hear. 💋Thank You💋. My journey has been so rough. I’m 61 and come from about 45 years of perming. 2018 diagnosed with uterine cancer. 2021 my hair falling completely out from a gray hair rinse. Now I’m trying my natural journey. Some days I’m happy. Most days I’m not. But I’m not a quitter. What you said about the noise was the scary part tho. I need guidance. My problem today is what do I do daily? I feel the need to use product daily. The reason being is my hair is very course and has a very dry look after the water dries. So I slap on cream, oil, gel or anything to soften it up and get a shine. Also, I heard (the noise) to not wash your hair too often. So when you say deep condition, is that after a wash or is that a co-wash (whatever that is). I’m so lost. But I’m encouraged by your words.

Hello 👋 usually you’d wash your hair normally (shampoo and conditioner) then deep condition after. But only deep condition 1 a week. This can be confirmed on the back of the packaging. Hope this helps 🙂. I pray continued healing for you in Jesus Name.

Thank you so much for this video. Thank you for the encouragement you gave to us at the end! I am a natural and my hair isn’t exactly where I want it to be, but I am learning to love and embrace my hair for the way that it is, while putting in the effort to get it where I want it to be. Your videos are a great resource for that!! 🥲🥹❤️

Thank you so much for making this video and all of your advice/encouragement!! My natural hair journey started very similar to yours around 2015 and it has been a rather unique experience since. From the big chop to now, I am currently on day 2 of combing out my locs for the second time. It’s been a positive and freeing experience so far. I can’t wait to be done! This for me is the hardest part. Wish me luck!

Another great thing I’ve done for my hair was trained my hair to work either heat. I created an effective heat routine. I have experience damage but nothing TLC couldn’t bring back. I honestly don’t mind heat. I recently trimmed my own hair and I’m never paying someone again 😭

Quick Question How can u completely avoid heat? Won't u be needing things like blowing to dry ur hair if not the hair dryer??

You wouldn’t need to use either. Do styles that requires no heat and air dry for the time being

- I decided to embrace my God-given curls back in 2015. I transitioned for a little over a year and then I did the big chop, and that extra weight being lifted off, was such a relief. I did and still do a lot of these tips that you gave in this video, Ashley-and I agree about the stigma around natural hair. Our hair is beautiful, no matter the texture, and I also hope that everyone learns to love their beautiful curls and textures. I often say, I am a Queen Crowned In my Curls. Great video! 🤎👩🏽🦱🤎
