Absolutely brilliant in providing detail on how after the first attack we are setup for others and how what we think is helping us, by avoiding, difficult events we are in-prisoned by this disease. Probably one of the best videos I have seen on this topic and more importantly a straight forward, but very difficult, plan to address it by removing a behavior each month. Thank you Martin!

I have been suffering these Panic attacks, for year now, I have been into medications and I gave up 7 months ago, am feeling ok but am still having panic attacks with health anxiety, though, I watched this movie I guess its my time to really understand what I have and I should treat it, and how I will beat this, I know its not easy but I can do it, truly thankful of it all. wish me luck I still need to give up my safety behavior

I'm nearly 50 but have had panic attacks since I was 13. I'd got them quite well under control but then had my worst ever panic attack on the motorway, whilst I was driving with my family in the car. I stopped going on them and then it was A roads and now I can only drive on my local roads. I've tried CBT, the Havening technique and hypnotherapy. I've taken it slowly and started building up to going on them but every time I try I have a panic attack and my mind just can't get over the fact that having a panic attack whilst driving is really dangerous. It's made my world so small and I don't know what else to try.

Great and comprehensive video! Very systematic too. It filled some gaps I still had, for example the role of the hippocampus and how it learns through behavior. It has shifted my mindset from suffering through anxiety and panic hoping for it to pass soon to committing to show my hippocampus through my behavior that everything's fine and giving it time to follow - because after all it's a slow learner. It ties in with the concept of the inner child and how we take on the role of the loving and supportive parent (that so many of us dealing with anxiety unfortunetaly never had). Also loved the humor sprinkled in, the tiger roar and the hippo! 😂 There's no better cure for anxiety and panic than humor. Besides self-love. But humor is important too 😄 Thank you very much this guide!

Yes in my view the advice given on breathing exercises can be detrimental as there is no one size fits all. I made this video on the subject kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4LaoJl-jbVsn5I

Hi again, i saw the panic/stress handle bar and this got me interested. As an agoraphobic doing exposure and fighting everyday, some days like today my stress bar is already almost filled to the max. I had an appointment planned en barely slept. How to lower the stress bar?

I have had panic disorder since I was 8. Im 24 now. Is there even any hope to overcome that?

Yes but it will take longer and it is more difficult the longer you have had it. Even if you don't stop the panic attacks completely you can reduce them significantly and have much less avoidance if you use what is taught in this video. Recovery is gradual and the time varies from person to person. Some are able to stop their panic attacks completely in a few months, others it may take a year or two. Some get to a stage in their desensitisation where they still avoid some things but are happy that panic attacks are rare and they can live without the few things that they still avoid.
