I'm overcoming a huge change in my life. Moved away to a different city due to covid--far away from all that I know. Beginning a completely new career, scared as can be. Wao! I think you are amazing and I admire you for moving to another city. I too have been working on doing the same for myself but my fear keeps getting in the way. I have lived on my own before but I always had some form of connection with people, it just felt safe knowing there was someone around. Now since I started doing the inner work I have had to let go of my old life completely. The only people left are my family and that is what I need to detach from. I would really appreciate if you care to share your experience with fear of moving to a completely new place. It will help me a lot. Any feed back is welcomed with love ❤

I've been trying for so long and no one actually gives the solution to get better... I know how fucked up I am lol I need the tools to fix it! So thank you so much from such a deep place of gratitude in my heart.

Yes,yes, yes. Consciousness is so important. Yesterday, for example, I was in class getting a critique from my professor about one of my architectural projects and it made me feel bad. I was aware of how I was feeling but instead of holding my head up and not letting the frustration motivate me to perform one of my more negative habitual behaviors of eating fast food, I did just that so that I could simply feel better. I think the more adaptive and constructive thing to do would have been to take the pain, maybe sit with it for a while and consciously recognize that my negative emotions are motivating me to compromise my commitment to healthy eating and choose to eat my normal food instead of reacting to the pain and further fattening myself up with unhealthy food. The thing is, though, I hate pain.

Productivity becoming a distraction that is something I am going to have to admit is the path I am on. I guess being productive brings some sort of self worth back into my hands like I did a thing that proves I have control so now I am worth more.

I self healed my depression and ptsd… It all started about 2 1/2 years ago when I was for some reason suggested a motivational compilation video and for some crazier reason I clicked it! It was there that I was introduced to Impact Theory. Which then taught me about the brain and mindset and I realized I had a passion for learning about all this stuff. It was really interesting to watch this interview because she described so well what I did to heal myself... This stuff is amazing and I love her commitment to make this information more mainstream. Everyone should know about this.

I AM NOT LIVING, I AM PRETTY NUMB, I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD REACH OUT A SAY SOMETHING, AS IVE WANTED TO ON SOME OF TOM'S INTERVIEWS, BUT, WAS AFRAID. IM LITERALLY IN TEARS RIGHT NOW. I KNEW HE HAD A WIFE BUT, HAD NO CLUE THAT YOU HAD A SHOW. I OPENED MY YOU TUBE FEED AS SOON AS I GOT MY COFFEE AND I Wtched your interview with tom. Than I continued to watch this one with Nicole. Omg is all I can say. Everything that you spoke about resonated with me. I'm suffering horrible gut issues and my pain both physically and emotionally are agonizing. Thank you for existing lol seriously. I'm so glad I saw this today. I'm hoping between you and tom I can somehow get it together as I am so fucking broken.... I care so much. I just started the video and less than 5 minutes in I'm already blown away! Today I went through one of those patterns of reacting to things poorly, and it was the least helpful thing because I just wound up sulking and trying to numb myself with food while simultaneously lamenting why I am, and have been, so stuck. It's been so frustrating, and I'm just so glad that it's being discussed in a clear, straight forward way with on-point questions! I took notes throughout the interview and was just blown away again and again! Thank you both so much for this! I definitely agree that a part 2 would be amazing and incredibly appreciated, especially because boundaries are something I also struggle with too regularly for comfort! Thanks again ♥

That was a nugget of gold, as you said! My bf used to (litterally) shove about anything into the shopping cart when we went grocery shopping. It made me so mad because I was trying to eat healthier and I felt like he just didn't care. (I really need to have a conversation with my 3 year-old self!) We now both take time to make a conscious decision when buying groceries and he lost the extra pounds and is less tired than he used to be. Nutrition really makes a huge difference on your well-being! Great insights as always. :)

Super great episode. I can't wait to see the follow-up in part 2. Nicole has some great advice. I'm so glad she talked about the importance of gut health. It can't be stressed enough about "You are what you eat". I know that may be an old corny phrase, but it holds true to maintaining a healthy life both physically and emotionally. My long time comfort food is a French Fry sandwich with mayonnaise and a Coke to wash it down. I know I'll suffer the next day but realizing the consequences of my actions makes it more comforting. That's what self empowerment will do for you. Thanks Lisa for another tool to put in my toolbox. I'll share this with a loved one who has been suffering from Crohns disease for many years.

A massive realisation for me last month was that we can choose to be consciously anti-racist, and this realisation released and healed so much anxiety ive been having for years about basically intrusive racist thoughts and this intense fear of being percieved as racist by others. Its all about conscious choices, you can if you wish consciously choose to be anti-racist - which implies its always in the present moment i.e. its a moment-to-moment lifelong thing, and not some conceptual virtue that one does or does not have; and if one is unsure how to be anti-racist, all one needs to do is consciously (again) read the relevant books and listen to the relavant voices. Everything becomes simple when you look at it like this.

She will be the first to tell you that this work is HARD yet possible for everyone. Not an easy fix, but well worth it. It is easy to tell some to change their thoughts, Nicole goes deeper. I appreciate her honesty and her authenticity. Thank you both.

A great therapist I used to see taught me to watch out for the ‘SHOULDS’ and the ‘HAVE TOs’. Makes our inner child play up, and we are more likely to ‘refuse’ to do it and sulk in our subconscious room - mine manifests in bingeing on Facebook.. then beating myself up yet again for wasting another day! Digging out my journal RIGHT now. If you are not happy, and you WANT to be happy, CHANGE something.

A way that I connect with my thoughts for the day, is through journaling. I have a journal app on my laptop and I sit quietly for 15 mins or half an hour during my day to reflect on what I am thinking and feeling and then I describe it as best I can. I then analyse the thinking and emotions and I talk and reason with myself as I would a dear friend. It's amazing what you can discover in how your thoughts are often very irrational, since the emotions take over. Sorting them out brings amazing clarity. It's self therapy and it helps me to move forward despite the many difficulties of daily living. A simple exercise, but oh so beneficial.

I am currently stuck and she makes so much sense. I need to stop my old ways and start envisioning and practicing change. What she had mentioned about auto pilot is hard for me to swallow because so much time I wasted. It’s like I put myself on auto pilot instead of flying my own plane. I am a nurse and a damn good one that was held back by my own subconscious and my negativity of my thoughts telling me I’m not good enough? I’m so mad at myself. Bad relationship ugh repeated mistakes. I need to heal. Never have. Trauma has held me back far too long. I need to move forward. So insightful. I’m so blessed and great full for this sooo much!!! I feel the same way. I can’t remember a lot of my childhood and I know I didn’t go through any trauma but somehow try to rationalize why I don’t have certain memories growing up. Very helpful and insightful content. Thank you so so much! I love this.

I've been watching your episodes fro some weeks now and the only thing I can say is that they are marvelous. They have taught me so much about myself and the way we experience the world. However, I must disclose that this has been one of my favorite ones because of everything that's been shared. I am grateful we can find this kind of knowledge for free and shared by such wonderful women. Wish you and all the people warm to you the best in this world.

This was an amazing episode! The Holistic Psychiatrist is brilliant! I really agree that whatever the diet for me good health isn’t necessarily the right diet for another. We’re all unique humans with unique chemistry. Food is a drug, when you accept that anything that changes your body chemistry is a drug. When viewed from that perspective, all food is medicine. It’s nice to hear a doctor say what I’ve been telling my patients for years.
