My sister works as an auxiliary nurse (health care). At the end of her working-week, she sleeps the entire first day off, undisturbed. A whole 24 to 36 hours of sleep. She might get up to use the bathroom and then goes right back to bed. One time I read about it being called "sleep debt".

People think they sleep ok but they don’t. The repair mechanism the body goes through during sleep is affected if your melatonin is too low at the point of falling asleep. Body is most affective at this repair mechanism between 10 pm and 2 am. If your not in bed by 9:30 every night your getting shitty sleep

From reading all the comments, I’m seeing the best way to get good sleep and wake up feeling better (from my experience as well) is your routine. If you go to bed anytime, eat snacks, don’t drink water or shower, watching KZbin videos it won’t help. But someone who goes to bed generally around the same time, taking time to pray or read before bed, and taking care of physical needs before sleep would probably sleep better. The discipline gained from these little habits not only can make you feel so much better but help you be more disciplined in so many other areas of life

@Zatoichi Ayurveda has made it simpler to understand how the five elements control our mind and body. We are made up of five elements I.e. Earth, water, fire, air and space. Each one of us have predominant combinations of elements that depends on our parents'. These combinations of elements are called Vata(air and space), Pitta (fire and water) and Kapha(Earth and water). Read about how the imbalance of five elements in our body controls our behaviour. Get ur pulse reading done by an ayurvedic physician.We can not completely change our body type but this can be controlled to some extent thru our food habbits according to our body type, ayurvedic medical guidance and spiritual lifestyle. Learn how to meditate. Eat fibre rich foods before ur meals. Most of the diseases attack a body because of unhealthy gut. You can try ayurvedic detox programs as well.

The screen will go a little darker but also will become way more orange.

My main tip: do NOT think! I often laid in bed and kept monologuing my feelings in whole novels to myself to work through whatever emotions I had from the last day. And I couldn't fall asleep that way, because I was concentrating on all these thoughts. What helped me a lot is to write these thoughts down beforehand, even if I just type it into my phone and then delete it again, it helps a lot to organize my feelings and have some closure. When in bed I would actually sometimes think to myself: Don't think. Think of nothing. Nothing... Nothing... I know it sounds and even feels stupid but it helps me a lot to focus on this word to not drift away with my thoughts. I guess it could work with anything. So anytime you feel your thoughts drifting, shift it back to a pre set boring word. I always fall asleep a lot faster that way! :)

Sounds pretty risky to experiment without an alarm clock for those of us with work and school. In fact, just today my alarm didn't go off and I was late to work. And my body naturally gets energized as soon as the sun goes down.... So not sure what to take away from this video tbh

If you get in a routine of going to bed everyday at the same time, you'll eventually start waking up at the same tame everyday. And then you can still have your alarm just in case, but you'll probably wake up before it even goes off.

Avoid coffee in the morning and stay away from energy drinks. I suggest apps that stop that kind of behaviour. The app I use have the function of not turning off if I don't do the task I've chosen in the settings. My favourite is this attention exercise where I need to focus to tap some rapid moving figures. You also have other things like solving a puzzle, calculate, scan a barcode in your bathroom, and so on. (And you can change difficulty on the task) It really helps getting you out of the auto mode of turning of the alarm when you're basically asleep.

Clearing ur bowel in the morning is extremely important.Take 2 tablets of triphala (max 3) every night before you go to bed. Triphala is an ayurvedic Indian mix of herbs available in the form of tablet and churna (powder) in all the ayurvedic pharmacies. You won't snooze anymore. Go to toilet half awake and come out fully refreshed.This keeps you active throughout the day and you get sleep on time.

@Camzeyy2 жыл бұрын
obviously important points here, but I think everyone knows these. For me personally, I would struggle to fall asleep and then always wake up tired. Or I'd have to go to sleep 9 hours before I want to wake up which is really inconvenient and hard to do. The 1 thing I noticed is that 1) it feels easier to go to bed later and later each night and the only time I ever get good sleep was when I am very busy throughout he day and expended mental energy. It turns out I was doing too little, doing the same habits everyday that took no effort or mental energy, and doing that doesn't make me tired until much later, but when I do go to bed much later, I still have to get up early and then it starts my day off horribly because I am tired. Challenging myself mentally throughout the day is obviously good for my brain, but it allows me to fall asleep with ease and wake up feeling energized. Im all about being disciplined and doing things you don't want to do, but forcing yourself to wake up early when you feel so tired is honestly just not good for you
