this was real therapy thank you this is exactly what i wish my therapist had done. just straight to the point and real advice. literally night and day thinking and that resistance is now clear. this rage i feel inside is just a scared child waiting for someone else's guidance that was never going to come. I thought these feelings didn't make me emotionally mature enough to be there for me, but I will be there for me just in a different form.

Hi @karitakesoff, Thank you for sharing your insightful reflections. It's empowering to hear how you've connected with the teachings and recognised the scared child within you. Understanding that the feelings of rage are expressions of your Inner Child seeking guidance is a significant step. Remember, it's never about being 'emotionally mature enough' but about understanding and nurturing your Inner Child. You're choosing to be there for yourself, which is a beautiful form of self-compassion and growth. Keep embracing your journey with this clarity and self-compassion. If you ever feel the need to connect with others on similar paths, our Wu Wei Wisdom community is always here: facebook.com/groups/wuweiwisdomcommunity/. Kind Regards, David

So bottom line is, if there is fear I,m creating it and it is fear that is fueling the obsessions. Therefore my work is reparent, train, teach myself not to fear, not to doubt and to TRUST like my life depends on it😊

Thank you guys for this. I have been told by my therapist that I've been healing quicker than others while dealing with my inner child. I've been watching your videos for a few months now and know the healing has been "faster" because of them. I take in what you say and put it into a daily practice. I've had quite a few amazing breakthroughs while listening to what you have to say (including during this one!!). Thank you for sharing this very important information with us all!

I have to say that your videos are absolutely amazing. Ive been in hours and hours of therapy, but this inner child theory has opened my eyes in a completely different way. It feels like i've had all the theory without knowing what to do with it, and now it's suddenly very clear to me. In the past 2 weeks since stumbling upon your channel, i have learned so much about why i keep sabotaging my own life. So thank you for that. Now it's just down to me doing the work consistently.

All excellent points except for patients who have been diagnosed with PTSD. The Amygdala stores traumatic memories that get triggered by events which the patient did not "choose" to have or respond to with symptoms. I'd like David to address this difference because treatment is complicated.

I had this where I reapplied for a job I really wanted. I didn’t get it the first time and felt hurt, anxious and obsessive. I then reapplied in 6 months and whilst I didn’t make the same mistake again, I made a separate mistake and didn’t get the job again and brought the carousel of despair, feeling of failure and I’m the only one, the inner child saying “I told you”.

You two have changed my life. i thank you so much. i am a happier and healthier person due to your teachings. i have been working with my inner child who is 6 for two and a half years daily. last week when i meditated, she was talking to me and then choked and died. i tried to revive her with no avail. i did not feel any emotional pain ironically. i have done a lot of research and never heard of this. now when i meditate my child is 12 years old which i also have never heard of such an older child. do you have any insight to this please.

I really would like to understand how I "choose" because, like Alex said, I don't. To "choose" one must have options and that means being in a position outside of one or all of them. Like being at a junction. But I am not at a junction, I am on a path. How can I "see" the other path, if it is there, let alone move onto it?

Yesterday I had an argument with my mum for not giving me discipline, I feel like I have to figure out everything by myself and it’s really painful. Is this me not taking responsibility for my own life and being resentful for my life lessons? I feel like she should have taught me how to deal with emotions and life, because how is a child meant to know how? I am 19 by the way

@@kasiaj1864 I'm still working on it. I had no guidance, so I was more of a parent than they were. It's hard, but you are wise at 19 to start working on your life lessons. It's easier to blame, than to do the 'work'. I've been a 'victim'.all my life. These two are on the money. I spent years in counceling. Nobody brought up the inner child. Then I found these two amazing healers to help. Wow, they/I opened my eyes and unlocked a treasure inside. ME!!!

Hi David and Alex. Thanks for highlighting these painful tendencies. It's very important to talk about. I guess my question is how do you deal with issues around resistance of taking responsibility for some of the red light feelings? Some of them I grew to accept this fact of creation but there are a couple others that are still too painful to accept on my own as something that I created. Even if it was for a good cause at one point in time, it really doesn't appear that way at all or get experienced that way. 😬

We create the emotions, but... we also create the experiences based on our beliefs/assumptions. We create everything in our lives. There is great information here, but I got stuck on something you’re saying. So to soothe our inner child, the solution is to let them know that adult me + paid coaching with David will be there to support them? What if we don’t have the funds to pay David or he no longer is around? That would be problematic for the entire world. Isn’t there a solution we could do by ourselves without dependence on a third party?

YOU reassuring your inner child that YOU will be there for them and that they can trust you is important. @@WuWeiWisdom Thank you so much for your quick and thorough response! I’ve tried speaking to my inner child, but it just feels like me talking to me...and not very effective (or as of yet, it hasn’t been.) lolol and I know one solution would be to speak with someone else 😂. I will listen to all your videos you link above... are there any specific ones you can suggest as to how to speak to your inner child so it doesn’t dismiss you? Meaning, my whole life I’ve been talking to myself and am not always able to calm myself or get off that carousel you describe so eloquently. (Haha and I will look into coaching with David but there’s got to be additional solutions for the inner child to get more comfort from adult me vs brushing off adult me “yeah yeah yeah but you’ve always been here and I still feel this way.”)
