Another method you can try is doing some bantu knots after your wash and letting it dry. Hair will be nice and stretched and you can work with it to stretch it even more after that.

How long does it takes for your hair to shrink back up after stretching with the braids and bun? My hair shrinks back up in no time.

If it's humid, my hair would shrink within an hour or so.Other than that, my hair stays stretched at least a day but it gets bigger by the day.

No I don't do anything dealing with. Heat my hair barely can take hot water my hair would not tangled like I won't let my hair go to long without combing it my scape itching is real but my grease stop it fast
