@Just Moi I used to get those cramps almost every night too... and they are not fun for sure! I believe it could be a lack of magnesium, though I'm not a doctor. I started to have a banana a day, and somehow it went away. I don't have them anymore and now split a banana every day with my husband. It stopped his occasional cramps also. So maybe give it a try... at least it is healthy!

After two years of following my physical therapists' stretching routine, I just did one session of this video and I could feel my hamstrings responding (and burning) in ways I never did before. At the end of the stretches, I could reach my toes and hold them far easier than anytime in the previous two years. The real goal here is to reduce or eliminate my lower back pain. I'm hoping to find more of your videos that will address this. Thanks already for helping out, especially for not withholding all information until I pay for a program.

my hamstrings have been bothering me since last sunday (about a week now). also have been feeling tightness in my hips especially my right hip and the back of my outer right knee and knew it was from my hamstrings. it’s 1 am bc the discomfort makes it hard to even relax in bed. did these stretches with one of my homerun balls (softball) and a belt right on the edge of my bed and i can already tell im gonna never stop doing these stretches. they feel so affective! never reaching down to touch my toes ever again!😂 so grateful for this video!

Just did your 30 min HIIT workout, love it. But realised my hamstrings were tight. I wasn't surprised that this video was readily available. Great options for stretching the hamstrings and targeting the entire back of the leg using various options. First time that I've knowingly bent my knee to target a different portion of the hamstring. Greatly appreciated. Keep up the great videos.

One thing that really helps me to stretch the entire backside of my legs is to place some dumbbells about a foot and a half away from a wall, put the balls of my feet on the grip area of the dumbbells, and drop my heels as I lean forward (with a straight back) towards the wall. It feels amazing and is so simple! 😊

If you’re feeling the pull behind your knee you’re probably feeling nerve tension, not a muscle stretch, especially if your dorsiflexing your ankle. The tendons don’t stretch, the muscles do, and they don’t extend behind your knee.
@toneandtighten5 жыл бұрын
As tendon is the connective tissue that anchors muscle to bone, it's impossible to pull on a muscle without pulling on a tendon. You're right - tendons don't stretch like muscles do (as they're non-contractile) but that doesn't mean you won't feel a pull through them. Thanks for clarifying, M Roseman 41.

FYI: Demo doesn't start to happen until 3:30. ?: have you ever tried toe stepping? It's a different way of walking where you place the front part of your foot down first instead of walking heel first. It's supposed to help with knee pain b/c then the ankle is allowed to act as a shock absorber. I think it may help with knee pain as well. It can be extremely effective for stalking / hunting/ ninjas.

Hi Jared, I want to thank you for you time and effort in helping others... In my recovery from an injury from getting out of a chair to walking around the back of chair to exit a cubicle. Me doctor and I have gotten to a point in my recovery in focusing on my left leg and hip. We believe that glutes need strengthening, hamstrings and Periformis are tight. So, instruction are to work those areas with a walking regimen. When needed apply heat and take IBU. Your Hamstring Stretch... Laying on my back foot in strap raising leg towards me, then performing stretch, when knee slightly bent I notice knee extends outwardly and foot goes toward my right leg... Right leg does not do this, leg is straight when pulling back towards me. Is this a hip internal rotation problem???? Or is this because the muscles are tight??? Waiting to hear back from you. Thanks 🤓

Is the contract/relax techinique similar to the resistance flexibility excercise?

Tone and Tighten Any chance you could find time to make a similar video but for hips?

I got an instant benefit from the elevated mfr technique. I had tried using a roller and a few balls on the floor mostly to no avail. But a large spikey ball atop my jumping box conferred immediate relief!

The last piece on contraction to fatigue the opposing muscles is really interesting. I'm gonna try it tonight 😊

Thanks for the suggestion for the second stretch. I've been doing a similar stretch but yours is a lot easier and practical. Basically I lay flat on the ground and I raise one leg up onto a door frame while the other remains flat on the ground.

Depends on where the pain and atrophy is coming from. Lots of things could be going on that I would treat differently.

Thank you for the video. I have been suffering for months. It has gotten so bad I can hardly do stairs. My tailbone has even started to hurt.

How much time will you need to actually be more flexible? I’m guessing these exercises should be performed on a daily basis, but when will one see any kind of results? Great video by the way, it was really helpful!

samaritan it probably depends on the person, but I think if you do it let's say twice a day for like 30 minutes (before and after going to bed), I think you'll see a difference in like a month, but again it will depend on your body how big the difference will be. I'm no professional tho. Just stick to it, you'll definitely see a different.

Great question! Most of the people I work with see positive results in 8-12 weeks of exercise. Consistency is key!

Tone and Tighten Thanks for your response, really appreciate it! I’ll try to be consistent from now on. Wish you a beautiful day
