This is how I dry my birds before I mount it. Biggest key take away is drying it to the point on it being fluffy and nothing being wet. This will dramatically increase your chances of having an awesome outcome! Good luck!

You are getting better ! Nice mount next bird try to not spread the humerus bone out so far . Keep it back and spread ur radius and ulna bones out and extend the wrist. You will get a much more natural look !

Can you do a standing duck mount tutorial
@DuckalopeOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Will do! It may be a while I got videos in the queue already but I do have a wigeon in the freezer that will be standing. I’m hoping to get to him before the end of May.

What is the rope for? I see cardboard on birds but never saw the rope trick

Using that string can help hold feathers in place instead of using tape .

Does it not smell like gasoline?….
@DuckalopeOutdoors5 ай бұрын
The camp fuel and gasoline are completely different! Make sure to only use the camp fuel from Walmart or if you can find it at Lowe’s or Home Depot. It obviously will have a “fuel” smell when letting it soak and when you start drying the bird but after, no you will not smell it. I’ve “gassed” every bird I’ve mounted it cuts the dry time down tremendously! If you wanna hop over to my IG and look at my work. Still the same handle “Duckalope Outdoors”
