Would the presence of E Coli in a blood test indicate or suggest intestinal permeability? E coli belongs in the bowel which is an area of the GI so if it's showing up in a blood test how is that occurring please. Lovn your content ❤

Great information! I had the Vibrant wheat zoomers test 3 times now. First time I was in the red zone for Anti-Zonulin IgG The 2nd time I was in the yellow zone with a 98 . Third time and one year later I tested 96 only moving 2 points in a year. Normal range with Vibrant is 89 and lower. Now I haven’t eaten gluten or wheat in over 3 years… and of course Vibrant recommends a gluten free diet. I have no symptoms of leaky gut and my body is working as it should. Could the test be off or maybe it something else I’m eating. It’s really baffling to me because I’m so careful. I will get another test in October but none of this is cheap… all my other test for Intestinal Permeability came out in the normal range. Sorry this is long and Thank you for any thoughts.

Thanks for your video! Is stool testing valid for other measures besides zonulin? Or should we treat based on symptoms alone?
@DrRuscioDC

Stool testing can be useful for certain tests, while serum (blood) is better for others. Is there a specific test you had in mind? Also, in general, I think a symptoms-first approach is valid even if there’s no conclusive testing - some conditions are very difficult to test for reliably.

Low FODMAP or another elimination diet is usually suitable for most people, but I could see this being valuable in specialized cases where extreme intolerances or digestive disorders are present with no known cause. Have you tried it?

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Unfortunately, low stomach acid isn’t well-understood or commonly diagnosed. Some doctors may be willing and able to test for it. There are things you can try on your own, though, like a trial of apple cider vinegar or betaine HCL with meals to see if they improve your symptoms.

Hi there! What specifically are you looking for? I think GI Map by Diagnostic Solutions is offered internationally, but make sure to check with them/your provider: www.diagnosticsolutionslab.com/about. For what it’s worth, we work with international patients in our virtual clinic, so can provide routes to solid testing there.

For someone living in India, I do not have many resources to heal my SIFO and IMO. Dr. Ruscio can you please suggest what people like us can do? I treated my Hydrogen sibo herbally (Curcumin, berberine, thiamine, betaine hcl, probiotics and magnesium). But even with allicin im unable to beat IMO and Candida.

@@DrRuscioDC antifungal i did try flucanozole, but it made me feel sick. I wasn't sure if that's a die off symptom or if it wasn't working. I've stuck to herbals ever since. Probiotics I was on 25 Billion (lacto, bifido, sach boul), i increased it to 50 billion after a month. Just switched to another brand of Probiotic today (10 billion), this one doesn't have any Prebiotics in it, rather has more varities in each strain.

Have you ever tried the no plants GAPS diet in your patients with heavy leaky gut?
@DrRuscioDC
@DrRuscioDC 23 күн бұрын
We’ve mostly done low FODMAP in the clinic, though stricter elimination diets aren’t a bad idea, especially if your intolerances are severe. We’ve done elemental diets with some patients, for example - hard to get much stricter than that

@@DrRuscioDC what's your opinion on Candida? Dr Michael Biamonte talks about how resilient it is. And you need to cycle the antifungals every few weeks. And how it manifests co-infections with certain viruses. And comorbidities against thyroid function etc
