Olivia. Thank you for honouring your lineage, traditions, elders, sprits and intelligences of the plants, the more-than-human kin. Thank you for speaking from a relational worldview that tries to centre the conversation in respect, reciprocity, humility, care and listening. It's still so rare to hear a person speak of, or on behalf of, the spirits and intelligences of the more-than-human world. The plant and fungal and animal ancestors are deeply grateful that you took the time to talk about the relational teachings they offer, the gifts of their medicines that at some point, in some way, we need to pick up the work of and continue. They are guides and reminders and modulators and therapists, but if we don't do the work and transform ourselves they won't continue to show up in a non-reciprocal relationship and do the work for us. I pray the Highest community of roots holds you firmly and nourishes your throughout life so that you can flower and grow and radiate your particular medicine in concert with the symphony of nature. A heartful thankyou for working with spirit, in spirit, in service of intelligences that have cared for us for ever.

I was taking a small amount of random herbs used in cooking because an expert on the gut micrbiome said that you should improve the diversity of your gut bacteria by consuming 30 foods per week, and spices count as one food each. Now, you are saying that many herbs have an anti-microbial effect, so I am confused.

@@kritsaphongphuthibpaphaisi1509The problems for this superherb emanates form wierd abhramic moralities. They think alcohol is ok but not weed whereas the latter is non addictive, calming and socially safe, the exact opposite of alcohol and is banned. For ages in India it was a normal every day thing, all that changed with corruption of Western thought based on the aforementioned weird morality.

Olivia, you mentioned about the alcohol being able to pull the herbs better. What about tincturing in apple cider vinegar? How do they compare when it comes how well the benefits are the way they are tinctured?

Yes I think after listening to several herbalist that ACV is a good option too
@anngranack9214
@anngranack9214 16 күн бұрын
Sunshine, ACV tinctures can be a great option indeed but here are a few important things you should know before hand. First, it always comes down to your intention of what your might be looking to accomplish. Second, at least a general knowledge of the main constituents contained in each plant and which ones are extracted best in various solvents. Lastly, each solvent has a different shelf-life. So, taking ACV extractions into account. Apple Cider Vinegar in-of-itself is a natural expectorant and digestive aid (especially when using the organic, raw unfiltered version with the "mother"). It is also great for pulling out minerals, hence why it is always recommended to add a small amount when making homemade bone broth. It can also be a wonderful choice for younger children or alcoholics who rather avoid ingesting alcohol. Keeping all that in mind, they are not going to be as potent as alcohol-based ones. Typically, they will last about 6 months, depending on whether fresh or dried was used. However, mine last much longer than that. Dried herbs usually makes the most effective vinegar extracts while fresh can be used for culinary purposes or a more nutritive effect. Hope that helped.

@@anngranack9214 ok yeah I have had high blood pressure all my life, from the time I was a teenager till now at 55 and 7 years ago I cleaned up my diet and went to a ketogenic lifestyle, cut all proceeded food, cut out sugar, and have been eating only whole foods. There are times during the holidays I will relax my diet but I still don't go overboard. Also have been working out like crazy, 7 years ago I weighed 223 lbs and now my weight is 175. So I've been putting in the work but have not had a drop in blood pressure and would love to get off of the medication my Dr has me on for lowering my blood pressure, wish I could find a natural solution.

I dont believe none of this stress mumbo jumbo. Whenever my stool is fine stress disapears. Stress is our body's way of signalling, something is not how it should be. I am a calm friendly and social individual who becomes tired and agitated and anti social when constipated . As soon as my stool looks good again, well shaped, any stress i used to feel disapears. Stress is a warning sign and im here watching this channel to fix whatever my body is warning me for, so i wont be suffering as much from it.

Try eating a quart ziplock bag of equal parts raw broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, with fat-free hummus as a dip. That food made my stool optimal according to the Bristol Stool Chart. Mind you, my stool was not bad on the whole food, plant-based diet without this food. I have never had any problem with my GI tract that was not easily explained by fiber, so if this is a problem area for you, you may not get the same result.

For women who are using a mirena iud. You should not take st. Johns wort. It is written down in the prescription. I have tried lots of herbs myself. I love lemon balm, it has calmed down my nervesystem. I also gave a berberine supplement which i bought for antimicrobial reasons but i have been hypoglycaemic and notice it is not great if you tend to be low sugar. I also love devils claw for the joints and cats claw. They both seem to work well together and probably both have antimicrobial funtions. Also love olive leaf extract, neem and oil of oregano. Ashwagandha has helped me get through stressful times but i think a combination of different types if adaptogens was better for me. I also take some things like wormwood, black walnut hull, passion flower, dandelion, artichoke, milk thistle, clove. And essential oils as well like ravintsara, star anise, oil of oregano. Add it to a base oil and use it on skin or for oil pulling. I just feel that herbs by themselves are not enough. Combined with certain nutrients it can be great.

I believe someone would have to work with master herbalists and/or elders who bear the knowledge of many generations to accurately quantify the efficacy of herbs. There are thousands of medicinal herbs, and it requires generational knowledge to understand how they work alone and in combination. It would take many lifetimes to obtain such knowledge.

Thr pharmaceutical companies study herbs fruits and vegetables and try to synthesize exactly that. Can't patent nature and make money. So studying the source and talking about it for health uses and benefits is not alternative medicine. It is actually root medicine around long before the Rockefellers took over the medical system that we have now which is complete rubbish made to create recurring customers.
