The Very Best Demo on tying a hook(s) that I've seen on all the KZbins video I've searched. Brilliant idea to use a white string to represent the line. You have made visible (using the opaque white line) what all other have not (using transparent fishing line). In one creative stroke you have made it simple and clear on how to tie the hooks. I have put in a lot of wasted time on viewing KZbin videos I wish I had found yours sooner. Great job and many Thanks!

*I bought these and used them at the river where I get snags often they have done a **enjoyable.fishing** recommend great job of not breaking along with some strong line I purchased as well. They are super durable and easy to use.*

Used this while surf fishing and it handled everything I put it through, except for the blues!!

Good video. You forgot to mention one really important part: if you're tying these with mono line, you'll want to wet the line (lick it) before pulling it through the loops. Otherwise it burns. Also, probably pretty obvious to most, but fyi to anyone who doesn't know, this knot is called a snell, or "snelling a hook".

I use a similar but quicker one , its only 5 wraps and pull the line the other way and end up with extra line and repeat for the trailing hook. Has never failed yet since the mid 80's. If interested I could explain further.

My fingers are raw, mono line gets so twisted that it starts to fray as you pull it through. Getting it wet helps very little. I like the method it seems easier than other ways I have seen but it does not work very well with out fraying the line, and it also does not hold, very well.

+hucklejack great observation. Try not wrapping it so tight onto the shank. The wraps will tighten when you pull it all together. Hopefully that helps.

Anyone got a trick to avoid twisting the line when wrapping?
@qrkpub4 жыл бұрын
Pre-twist it before wrapping by rolling the line between your fingers. You need to figure out which way to twist, or you might end up with a bigger mess.
