In today' video I walk you through how to tie the marathon knot, also known as the Runners knot. This lacing technique is helpful for runners who are having issues with their heel slipping out of their shoe or their foot sliding forward within their shoe as they are running. I hope you all find this little tip helpful and I'd love to hear your thoughts on how effective it is for you on your runs! feel free to leave a comment with and questions you may have and I'll do my best to answer them! Thanks so much for watching and I'll see you all in the next video!

Great tip, and clear explanation. This might help you if your toenails are constantly turning black and blue ... it preserves a little space in the toebox.

Great idea except if you always need to loosen that top part to get your sneaker on and off, then it becomes too much of a hassle getting them on and off and lacing. So it depends on the shoe fit. Great to know about and I will try this where appropriate!

Sometimes getting into Running can be a long trial and error process. Definitely make sure you are running with a proper stride and proper footwear too! Definitely give this technique a shot and see if that helps though. Let us know in the comments how it worked out for you.

I’m not a runner, but because I have a bunion and now a callus next to my bunion toe, I’m always looking at ways to make my walking shoes more comfortable. Also got the link from Tim Ferriss’ newsletter. Thank you!
@banta412

I know that can make things tough. You might look into Altra shoes because they have a nice wide toe box and usually accommodate a wide forefoot or one with bunions quite well. Good luck on your journey!

Never heard of this shoe brand. How do you like it compared to Saucony Kinvaras or hokas?
@banta412
@banta412 2 жыл бұрын
Newton is a small company out of boulder and they make amazing low drop shoes with a patented outsole technology that takes a bit of time to get used to. The newton gravity is one of my go to tempo run shoes, the Kinvara is a great shoe too but the exposed foam on the outsole tends to wear out rather quickly in my experience. Good luck!
