Good tips thank you. I want to take vacation but not sure how to ask for two weeks off. Now I have some tips that I can have confidence to ask my boss. Or even ask for three weeks if I ask the right questions. I can take paid time off and add an unpaid time off or personal days. Thanks again!!!! Time to start planning.

Thank you for watching! and we definitely wanted to share our experience as engineers because a lot of our friends that are engineers feel like they can't travel so hopefully this can help them do that more easily =)

You make a great poing here at the end as so many people feel pressured or "obligated" to see certain attractions that they may not really be interested simply "because they are there". (The Louvre was pretty amazing though... just sayin :) Expecially the Egyptian exhibits, the mere scale of the place, and the sculptures were amazing I thought. But in the case of the Mona Lisa, it didn't move me the way I expected. I stared at it from 15 feet away in a sea of people and have a blurry picture to show for it.
