That is exactly my case, I feel like I’m fixing one problem but I’ve caused another and that is what has brought me to KZbin University to learn how to tackle my door issues. I even used a rectangle cutout to move around to see how moving one corner would affect the overall positioning…yeah I got desperate.

I have a lot of room to shim the door frame so I don’t want to shave the door. I have a gap at the top between the door and the frame and the hinge is not completely closed. You used your hand, I used a rectangle scrap…now I feel my idea was not so bad…lol

it sounds like you just need to move the door up. Ideally you want an 1/8th inch gap on top of door so either move the hinge up on the jamb or down on the door, whichever is easier. I would recommend moving the top hinge only until you get the gap correct, then move the other hinges. Good luck and thanks for watching.
