Very helpful, I always had the old gen that couldn't do it but recently upgraded and this was quick and straight to the point on how to get it done. I will say the newer menu is now set up differently but it wasn't hard to find where I needed to be!

I have a Vizio also and the turn on feature will no work unless I set it to toogle. But I'll still need the remote to switch inputs. I don't have this issue with my roku or my firestick. Just the Xbox.

I had my xbox one S set up like this. Bought a new TV and swapped the xbox over to the new TV and when I turn thr xbox off it not only turns off thr TV it's connected to it also turns off the TV it used to be connected to that's 12 feet away and not connected to the xbox whatsoever... does the xbox one S work with some sorta IR or something instead of CEC?? How is it turning a TV off across the room with literally no cables connecting the TV to the console? Has to be IR right?

Its the invisible to the human eye IR signal emitted from your remote that’s turning off the former Xbox TV

Hi. Don't know if a bit too late but try go into setting of Xbox and look for the option to calibrate tv. Once I had done this the other options "on" and "off" we're there.

I didnt have a CEC option on my tv but... ignore that step and do everything else because my tv did not need a cec option to be linked with the xbox it happened automatically so maybe yours does it too
