For my money Mr Short Game is the best golf KZbinr on the scene, and this video is absolutely CASH MONEY for the millions of slicers out there.

@@B22STGR Thanks, Bryan. The internet can use some more kindness, huh? And I have never spent a dollar on any products MSG features, although it does seem he offers some unique savings on things from time to time. I do watch a ton of golf on youtube and I just really find MSG to have a very authentic energy and love of the game. He's our humble leader.

Wow... I've been struggeling with the slice ever since I started 14 years ago. I almsot got rid of it, but the ugly curve came back at least for 3 drives during the round and some longer iron shots. Now with the help of THIS video, I went to the range and played 27 holes...and not even one Push Slice or Slice shot! Hardly a draw though, but I achieved a CB of 12 / 14 Fairways and even a 6/7 on a tight 9 hole course (all 3 just rolled out into the second cut) and even the long irons went straight (sometimes with a little fade or draw). It was so much fun. For me, it was the right arm movement and staying compact during the whole swing. Thank you sooo much!!!!

Tried these tips today.. and worked like a charm! Thanks brother! The "back towards target" was really beneficial since I tend to slide more than turn.

I’ve always been a slicer, but just recently took one of two lessons in five years of playing. Said instructor simply had me set up as you might normally and as a right hand golfer, move the back(right)foot back, creating a swing path from in to out. Of course allowing the right arm to cross over the left. If I want a fade I reverse the stance allowing a out to in swing path. Always the club should end up pointing at the target. I think, that may change next week.

Man buddy out of all the slice videos I’ve watched this is the first one like this. And makes perfect sense. All the other slice videos helped turn my slice into a nice fade but sometimes still a slice. This is helping with the draw finally. Thanks!!

Awesome vid and finally something that makes me think I’m not crazy. I started trying visualize MattWolf during my swing towards the end of last year and it has made a huge difference. B4, I heard a lot of advice to stay inside on my takeaway. It seemed to cause me to come more over the top, getting stuck and was just a.vicious cycle. Starting more outside on takeaway forces the club to come from more inside on downswing. Object in motion tends to stay in motion. Keep ‘em coming MSG!!

@@nickjones5582 yes! I played baseball my whole life up until a few years ago so I think that helps a lot and I watch tons and tons of videos about golf to learn about drills and swing thoughts to keep my scores consistent. When I started I was about a 25 handicap but over the last year I’ve dropped down to about a 3-6. Kind of plateaued in the last couple months though, haven’t been able to get down to scratch.

Just finished a range session employing step 1 & 2 of this technique and wow, big difference. I’m a right handed golfer and Found I was actually left of target which is soooo much more acceptable. (Partially due to my years of overcompensating for slice) Still not drawing but very slight and acceptable fade. I added a step that seemed to help with keeping my right shoulder in the correct position: I actually like to feel my left shoulder touch my chin at the top of my backswing. Not sure if this a good idea but it seems to work for me.

Mr. Short Game, does it matter as long as it's on the fairway or a dog leg? I sometimes hit a bit to the right, but it still is on the fairway. I used to hit the ball more to the right, but your video on how to properly told the club and not over extend the thumb was a real game changer. What irons and driver would you recommend for someone that’s a high handicap. I’ve read Cleveland launchers or Wilson launchpads are the easiest to hit but what would you recommend and something that’s not going to break the bank for your first set… also what irons would you recommend like ;thru pw or what do you really need in your bag?

whoa! I've seen people swing like that, but always thought the mechanics were "bizarre". Kind of like Bill Cartwright shooting a free throw. However, breaking it down the way shown enlightens my comprehension.

Great video for slicers. I hit draws/hooks but want to hit a gentle fade because I have a bad back and the draw is becoming harder and harder to hit late in the round as I start to stiffen up. Fred Couples and many others used to hit a draw but, when they developed back issues, they changed to hitting fades. Can you do a follow-up video to show the opposite...how to turn a draw into a fade.
