I wish they had explained it like this in our first ballet class... I really hurt my knees long term by trying to rotate my feet when my thighs weren't rotating as much at the same time...

Thank you so much for another great video and for teaching us all this wonderfull things. I have a question that's not directly related to turn out ( i think!): when you are doing your tendus in 5th and you close either in front or in the back, are you suposed to transfer any weight to the leg that is working or do you keep the weight only on the supporting leg? If someone can help me with this I'd be very grateful :)

OK so I watched this other video by Kathryn Morgan on tendu basics, and she said that your weight should be on your supporting leg.

@@eepyru Thank you for responding 😊 I came to the same conclusion after watching some other videos as well. And really as you practice you eventually understand it has to be that way. Salty Sugar Plum has a great video on tendus also. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do it like her lol, but it’s beautiful to watch and gives great insight.

thanks so much for the useful advice!! question: when i am in 1st position, the insides of my knees are touching but not the heels, and when the heels do touch, my knees look bent??? what am i doing wrong??

You could have hyper extension in your legs.. you have to pull up even more.. strength is the only solution to that really b
