Hi you mentioned about if the sync says information instead of navigation that its not activated but can be. I was wondering if you have any more information about this on how to activate it? Ive looked everywhere but cant find out how

Contact Craig at nextgensatnav.co.uk, you'll need the card reader installed in the armrest and usually a GPS receiver connecting to the head unit then activating with the laptop. Best of luck getting it sorted.

It's called the Auxiliary USB Port Module. Part number FR3T-14F014-AB or similar. You will have to check with your dealer for your exact part number, as it depends on your year and trim level. Thanks for watching

Hi, the file should be saved to the root of the USB then, go to settings then update, then update form USB and select the file. The update can take a few minutes and the screen with flash and restart. You'll be able to check it was updated by the version number.

Yea, if it says "information" then it's not installed but can be activated with Ford IDS. But if it says navigation then it's just missing the SD Card usually

Sadly only on Sync 3, most vehicles can be upgraded but the head unit needs to be swapped out

Hi ,I have a 2016 ranger wildtrak, my lad download the latest nav on a sd card and it works great ,only problem is it always takes me down tight windy lanes and then I end up back on the road it first took me off ? Also can I use my android phone through the sync 2 screen using Google maps ?

Firstly, the routing is done based on the maps, so if it's genuine maps there's nothing you can do. Secondly Android Auto is what you need to use your android phone and unfortunately that was only a feature on Sync 3. It can be done, but a new Sync 3 head unit is needed. Hope that helped 👍

It means you didn't have Navigation spec'd from the factory. It can be turned on using OBD cable and a laptop, it might also need the GPS antenna adding to the back of the screen. 1 hrs work to someone who knows what they're doing.

Yes, but you need a new headunit, usb socket in the arm rest and new GPS antenna.

How do you escape from the process if the update hangs?

Hold the power button and seek right> button at the same time. This resets the system, Hope this helps
