If you go to Lenovo site and make that support site detect your system. Once it detects, you can find info on max size limit for the RAM from manual or specs

@@SuperNaicker Ummm they play Safe. I have and IdeaPad 3 14IML05 and the Manual says it can handle up to 12 GB RAM and I have it Running 36 GB RAM without any issues... So one must investigate and ask to get the Real limits

I have this same GamingLaptop. I have never Changed 8Gb RAM. Right now i would like to get 2x 16 GB RAM but i am not sure if it handle it and SSD Like you did. Would i be happy with results when i plan to play League of Legends on it Daily? Not sure if its worth to upgrade an older Laptop.

Upgrading ram is simple. Just install the ram stick and boot it up afterwards. Software thing is required if you're replacing the SSD tho since you'll need a fresh copy of windows OS.

Sure, You need to reinstall Windows completely to the new drive. With new fresh drive there will be no system to run the PC. If You did not know that, then it definely mean You need somebody who knows how to do fresh instal to the new PC.

Thanks for the great video. I have all my programs including windows 11 installed on this SSD (C: drive). How do make sure all those programs are installed on the new SSD? Is there a way I can image the old drive on to another portable drive and copy that image to the new SSD after installation?

Yes, there are some free cloning tools out there. I’ve used Clonezilla before, buts it’s been a while. Try cloning your existing drive to your new drive using a usb drive enclosure if you have one.

Hi, in your case, yes, 32 GB DDR4-2400 Memory (RAM) will help a lot and as secondary measurement look for the fastest M.2 NVMe SSD (At least 3500 MB/s read). PD: Make sure your games and most used programs are installed in the SSD.

@@prashantgupta9288 Nowadays, 16 GB DDR4-2400 (somehow equivalent to 12 GB DDR4-3200) is very low amount of RAM if you want to keep all Apps and Programs open and running properly, not to mention if you use it for video editing and gaming... Even a couple web browsers with some tabs each can easily eat that RAM. Regards!

Of course, and I would repalce the HDD for a 2.5" SATA III SSD with at least 550 MB/s speed. HDD's are so slow (only use them for long term and low use files / media).
