Do you feel that unlike other veggies, onions get a bit juicy when you pulse them in the food processor? I've noticed that it gets difficult to brown the onions once they're chopped in the food processor, when compared to chopping them with a knife. Any tips on this please?

Food processors are big and bulky, but they are wonderful time savers. For those of us who aren't pros with cutting knives or suffer from arthritis, a processor is worth every penny. My stock pot is 30 quarts. Ain't no way am I chopping that amount of vegetables.

Thanks very much. I'm thinking of buying this food processor - do you think it would make hummus?
@NicolaJaneCooks4 жыл бұрын
I've never tried making hummus in it but I'm pretty sure it would work just fine.

Hi Nicole. Have you tried shredding cabbage with this Processor? - the reasoning I ask, is that I want to start making my own Sauerkraut!
@NicolaJaneCooks3 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried cabbage yet, however it shreds really well so I don't think you'll have a problem.

How can you chop onions not so small?

Hit the pulse button fewer times.

Yes, that's its downside, I also find it pretty noisy.
