Just bought the Quest 2 and am I correct in assuming that I cannot use it without a wi fi connection? I thought I'd be able to use it connected to my phone using Bluetooth teathering and my mobile data. It is paired to my phone but will not connect thru my phone

@@mathewmccarthy3089 Yes. Could be because it was new? Fine now. Got these tips either here or elsewhere: don't leave headset in standby mode as it drains battery. Turn off completely by holding down button & waiting for power off in the headset. Secondly, don't charge to 100%. 80--85 optimum. Also don't go below 20%. I've been around the world & back & animation heaven with VR Animation. Enjoy!

If I may ask anyone (or kaysar) - what is the information about suggested charging only up to about 85% taken from? Is it one individual experience (with one or more piece of equipment?) or was it more wide experiment, with more users (how many?) to get to this conclusion? Or is it some generally known fact that I am only not yet aware of? Thank you, whoever decides to advise/answer.

You can get more free games by downloading sidequest into your headset which is an app which gives you more games but you need an laptop or PC for that

When I play Golf with a friend, it works fine until the 2nd or third hole. Then I find myself about 50' in the air and have trouble getting down. when I finally get down, I am nowhere near my ball. When I move to the ball it says to press trigger, but the trigger doesn't work. It happens on all courses that my friend invites me to. When I invite him, it does the same thing. anyone know how to fix it? It worked vine for months and just started doing it now. When my friend plays with someone else, he has no problems, so I figure it is something with MY headset.

Bro, im stuck on setup. I got to the point where you need to insert a code to pair it with the phone, and the code aint working. Ive been stuck herenfor hours putting in the code, turning things on and off, uninstalling and re-installing, all that stuff, and it aint working. How do i fix this? I just wanna play funny haha sword and cube game

I had the same issue. Your phones bluetooth might be having trouble finding it maybe. That was my issue-.. maybe try with a different phone or an emulator if you can id suggest, just to see. ..but I would contact customer support for the headset to double check anyways if you haven't already...

I saw one of these at target today but, wanted to see what the requirements were. I read somewhere it requires facebook?? I haven't had facebook in years. If that is the case I guess I won't get it. The only reason they could require your facebook is to collect your personal data and offer it to the highest bidder. HP was like that with a printer. It required the internet to even print from. Of course they will deny it to the end..but, that's what they do. What are other requirements? Too bad, looked like a fun toy!!

I just opened mine 3 hours ago, charged it all the way and all i see is black when i turn it on.
