Hi Greg Just wanted to express how useful your videos have been explaining Leica total station software! I'm currently studying on a masters course in mine surveying and your videos have been incredible helpful! Far superior to Leica's own tutorials and guides. Hi Greg, I just started following your tutorials as my company bought a leica TS 16, without offering us adequate training. I have a simple question. How do you set the instrument to zero or enter a certain angle? thanks sure of your answer I wish you a good day.

Hi! How come they sell so expensive equipment without the training? Crazy! On your controller you can just set rotate to point and give it an angle, or coordinates information. Let me know if you found it and that what you needed please

greg...some times times targets wont pick up ...can you shoot them with any surface setting?

Yes you can, the reading will be the same as the constant is the same. But sometimes there might be something on the way and that's the reason why it won't take the reading and in case of any surface the reading will be always taken, no matter if right. Keeping the target as reflective tape it's just another way to be sure the measuring was right, but I know the problem :) and sometimes change for any surface. Some people don't even bother to change for the tape and work always with any surface

I'll show in the next one, but you can just go to check and adjust and it's working. If you have any problems after this, maybe you have to send your instrument for a proper check/calibration

Hi, am struggling with loading the road design into the Leica TS16. When am importing it, it only imports 0 points. And when am doing it manually it says error. I got the design from Road Maker. I don't know whether it doesn't support that format. Pls help me 🙏. Am not sure what am doing wrong

Try to bring it as a DXF, check the settings while you're importing. Maybe work with the drawing a bit, create some points etc. Definitely check settings when bringing in - m/mm, what to bring, check if you have points on the drawing, or just lines, or blocks - maybe you can see them once imported? check settings on the viewer
