A few things that have helped to control my hairfall include: (1) I discontinued wearing hair ties because it leds to tension damage. (2) I began massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while bending over & holding my head upside down to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Protecting my head while moving out to safeguard my hair from pollution. (4) Using mild shampoo again from liittleextra only to wash my hair.

Another mistake to add to the end of this video, thanks to a subscriber (Al Bundy For President) for sending me some info. Avoid using coconut oil if you have low porosity hair. Meaning if your hair takes a while to absorb water, it's probably best to avoid coconut oil (and most heavy hair oils). It all comes down to hair type. Fine to medium hair types will benefit most.

Yes. Indians have been using coconut oil on hair forever. I think you should buy the unrefined coconut oil though because the refined coconut oil can mean they extract the fatty acids which is what is needed to moisturize the hair. It should smell like coconut oil, almost a little rancid not fragrance free. Very informative video. Thank you. You showed the science supporting what Indians have known for years. I love to coconut oil my hair the night before a shampoo. I have long curly hair like Aidan Turner and I only shampoo my hair once a week and the coconut oil definitely makes it feel a lot better. Honestly, for curly hair on days I don't feel like using hair product, I will rinse my hair with coconut water and it makes my hair feel really good and smell like the beach. I don't know how coconut water is for people with straight hair, but for curly hair it really is something that can help tighten the curls a bit more and it adds to the number of the days I can go without a shampoo due to the lack of adding hair product to the hair.

I have to sleep in an extremely hot room in Florida and wake up with sweaty hair--just a mess! Brushing it with even a detangler brush meant losing hair until I tried the coconut oil approach. I understand perspiration can damage and dry your hair because of the salt content. What I do now is use a bit of the oil, concentrate it more toward the ends, anx comb it through before retiring. The next day, I get up, sweaty as always, but my hair is easier to manage with few snags and tangle. I'm glad I caught this video!

I’ve seen stylists describe white and silver hair as hollow tubes, due to the absence of pigment. What is the coconut oil actually doing for my hair? When I do use heat, am I deep frying it? Hey! Question.... if I do a post-shower application, like de tangler, do I just leave it like that until my next shower or should I rinse it after a few hours or so? Maybe I used too much (even though I used your recommended amount) because my hair looks good but it’s noticeably like.. oily and flat 🙃 and idk I prefer it with more volume because I have very thin hair. Anyway, awesome channel keep it up I love it 🤟🏻

hey Trav! Does coconut oil have any DHT blocker properties? If no, then how do I really strengthen my hairs, which keep on thinning day by day, due to shrinking of the root

ALSO: you should not heat up coconut oil in the microwave

Thank you for this video. I started using argon oil, but it didn't seem to be enough to detangle following a hair wash day. I tried the coconut oil you recommended yesterday and I'm still getting tangles, but they are more manageable than prior to the coconut oil. Thanks, Trav!

Would you recommend using coconut oil for low porosity hair?

Coconut oil is a life changer. Although a little goes a long way if heated properly. I have 4 aunts including my mom. Growing up I saw my oldest aunt regularly applying coconut oil. Today about 15 YRS later.. She is the only one with no graying hair.. All 3 other aunts have some graying.

How do I protect my hair if I ride a lot wearing a motorcycle helmet? My hair is quite long but not like yours...but it does get sweaty and I don't wash my hair everyday or rather don't like wetting my hair so much, although shampoo and conditioning is done twice a week. What do you suggest? I heard helmet causes baldness too! :-(

Salaam bruv... When you say post, wash detangler... How much, and how often? Still the same dime size? I have mixed people hair l o l. Some of it is doing something else some of it is doing another thing, and some of it just doesn't do anything. I started growing my hair when COVID started. I would appreciate any help..

Do you use it before washing and then after washing again or should coconut oil only be used once either before or after washing

Love your videos Trav White. My hair type is almost nearly identical to yours. A lot of what you do for your hair works for mine. I am two years into my hair growth and the Same brand of Shampoo and conditioner but I use the Coconut milk shampoo and conditioner two -three times a week. My hair growth is awesome.
