​@@eMOTION11 it's a big improvement. Make sure to use the fanalogic mode because when I started using it. It felt like sluggish not realising the wheel was set to logtiech mode. You can check it in drivehub manual on how to make fanatec work in fanalogic mode

@@gr3shan I bought the hori controller he used in the vid (the red one in my case). This setup still works, also with PSVR2. I couldn’t get it to work with a ps4 pad from what I remember and haven’t changed the setup since I found this vid.

@@UchihaMaxi oh thanks for replying. One more: do you get full force feedback? I’ve heard people using this method say their wheel works but doesn’t have any rumble at all? Like when the car goes on the strips at the side of the road, etc.

@@gr3shan no problem ^^ from my experience it works with full force feedback support. GT7 registers it as a G29 wheel. In the settings you can test the wheel and pedals, but not the force feedback. To change the strength of that you have to be in a race or the menu just before the race. Then go to settings > controller settings. At the bottom of that menu you find the force feedback settings. Hope this helps 😊

Did you not think to try and change the connection method to the wireless controller in the settings under devices. You can change this to a wire powered controller instead of bluetooth. Can you do this test to see if it works?

Hi sorry for late reply, Yes I have tried that method and it works. You dont need to get the hori or nacon controller anymore in this case but since I didn't had a ps4 controller with me handy just left was a hori controller in my cabinet

Great video, it should be first on the list of videos about connecting a Drivehub to a PS5! There is info out that tells you that you'll need to use an authentic PS4 controller, but if you do it won't work after 10 minutes. Totally sucks and I almost took my hands off using a direct drive wheel when it went bananas when it lost connection! As you mentioned, you'll need that HORI mini controller since it's a licensed PS controller. I'm not sure if anyone else has gotten it to work with a different licensed controller.

Yea i know at 1st i tried using ps4 controller and it worked for like 10 mins. And after that the throttle gets stuck on full rev and the steering wheel is totally unresponsive but the force feedback is still working. I was being told about the hori controller wont disconnect. Grabbed one from local store and ive been playing wreckfest for over 1 hour with no single discpnnecrions at all 😊

@@herecomesdapain94 DD1 works but only in "compatibility mode" (Fanatec CSW 2.5 emulation). So you can't use its full force. But for the "simulation" level of GT, it's more than enough. I used to have the Thrustmaster TGT when GTsport came out and it wasn't any better than this. If you want real force simulation you must play Assetto Corsa (Competizione) or go to PC and play iRacing, RF2, etc. GT is a fun game, not "a real driving simulator".

@@emiliofederici9459 so when you press ps button lets say from the wheel and then go back to game. Don't your DD1 lose any understeer effects or any vibrations or such. Because I am currently facing this issue with thrustmaster TX where if I accidently press ps button and then go back to game. The force feedback feels numb like I dont get any proper feedback at all. So I have to disconnect and reconnect the drivehub again inorder to get the full potential of the wheel. It's annoying sadly because If I even wanna send a message to someone from ps home I lose all the force feedback effects

This is exactly what I was looking for. So I have a Thrustmaster TX (Xbox version) that I want to use with GT Sport but also the upcoming PS5 GT game. So as far as I can see, this should work fine if I buy the Drivehub and a Hori controller on my PS5. Awesome!

For anyone wondering u can use a DualShock 4 wireless controller and use one of the two cables in the box to plug the controller in and it works that way don’t buy the hori controller

Yes the drivehub will detect it. My friend has a t500rs and he tried it with my ps5 using gt7 and it worked flawlessly no input lag at all and the force feedback was on point. Hope that helps

Yes it will. All you need to do is get a USB hub and plug it into the accessory port. Also you need to check on the drivehub manual for the supported accessories. I am sure the handbrake is compatible

Make sure the drivehub is on 2.0.7 firmware (not beta versions). The only problem you will face is when you press ps button while on game you tend to lose the counter steer and road effects so you need to unplug and replug everytime when you do that but other than that it works perfectly

Hi, They are both made by same company. Drivehub is mainly more for wheels whereas cronouszen is limited for wheels such as connecting custom pedals from different product or different set in drivehub. But then if anyone of them is cheaper you can grab it since logitech works on both

Yes my friend has a T500RS wheel he wanted to see if it was supportable with this adapter and it worked. The force feedback was exactly how it is. No input lag at all. Hi, 1. Yes it will work If you buy the hori dpad along with it because it's used to avoid disconnection every 10 mins or so 2. You can use a usb hub and plug it into the accessory port of drivehub. I made a separate video on how I connected a TH8A shifter with drivehub using accessory port

Also sorry to mention But when you say pedals. I also have T3PA pedals which is connected directly to my TX wheel and it registers perfectly with it. So you dont need to worry plugging that into the accessory port of drivehub

One of my friend recently owned the ts-xw base but basic wheel add-on. He wanted to check if it was compatible with drivehub and it worked perfectly fine. So I am not quite sure if the sf1000 will communicate with the game. I have tried TMX pro and TX and they all work perfectly fine

Before I spend the money this method still works right? I've been hearing that Sony has been going after people trying this stuff with different branded controllers. I'm going to get the Hori Pad and as long as the Drivehub is updated it will work by just plugging that in and the wheel? Right now my wheel does not work at all when connected with the PS5 controller.

It still works for me to this day. You need that HORI dpad controller to avoid disconnection. I have upgraded to thrustmaster TX which is an xbox variation and the drivehub detects it as a T300rs variation wheel which is a ps4 wheel compatible with ps5. It works with g920 tmx pro you name it

Yes, my problem is i have gone through 2 thrustmaster sim hubs and both had connection issues. The only way i can use both shifter and handbrake on console is through the drivehub but cant get force feedback to work. Thanks for your help anyways, ill email support and see if they can help

I can't get my drivehub to show the "0". It keeps quickly moving the red line instead. I have it updated to latest firmware (checked it twice to be sure). I have everything plugged in as shown in the video, although I'm plugging in a dual shock 4 for now until I get the Hori in. So I'm not even getting a 10 min. session in, I'm not getting it to connect at all.

Make sure your firmware is not beta. Keep it on 2.0.7 (not beta) and it should work. They are currently working on the new firmware and it happened to me.

Yes you can on the accessory port. You use an usb hub extender to add more devices. Not sure about handbrake as I am about to try that next in future to see if that works. Otherwise my alternative was directly soldering wires from HORI dpad controller to connect it to momentary switch and make some mechanical thing to press that button to activate handbrake you mapped in.

And since you have G29. You dont need drivehub for that as it works plug and play with ps5. Unless if you had g25 g27 or g920 which is an xbox variation wheel

If you have G29 you don't need drivehub since ps5 has backwards compatibility with g29 wheels from ps4. This is for those who don't have the newer wheel. Nowadays you can grab g29 for reasonable price but I bought this adapter for $50 aud dollars which is very cheap and since I have a older modded wheel this is just acceptable for me.

I have both and yes you do need hori dpad for cronouszen too. The one shown in video is called drivehub which is mainly used to convert your old steering wheel to use it on modern game consoles. Cronouszen also supports wheels but only logitech brands whereas drivehub supports logitech and all different brands of steering wheels too. I hope that answers your query :)

Honestly I am not sure because I currently dont own that accessory. However I have a TH8A shifter from thrustmaster and if you plug that in to its accessory port. It detects. Same with the pedals I tried G29 and T3PA using a USB adapter and the drivehub detects it

You can clearly see on the video. That was wreckfest which is ps5 version and drivehub works with it perfectly. And yes i have thrustmaster TX pro too now and it works with that if you update your drivehub to 2.0.7 firmware (not the beta one)

Yes I have also tried with f1 2021 with TX pro and it works without any issues. Force feedback works just as is. No input lag at all

I have also tried dirt 5 ps5 and it works on that too. Basically ps5 has backwards compatibility with ps4 wheels so this adapter emulates ps4 wheels in this case

It will calibrate but won't register to ps5. This is where you need the drivehub where it tricks the ps5 into thinking that its g29 wheel connected but your using g920

When I try this, the wheel lights up like it’s being connected and the drive hub says it’s connected, but the game says no controller is connected and none of the buttons respond. How does it work in terms of logging in? Do you need the ps5 controller at the same time or not? I’ve tried both snd neither work :( It works for 10 mins using the ps4 remote, but doesn’t even register when using the hori. Everything is updated etc

Is your drivehub on 2.0.8 beta6 or something. That firmware is currently in development. I had same issue untill I downgraded to 2.0.7 and all of my wheels worked. It's actually common in thrustmaster wheels as I dont have logitech wheels anymore in the video you see.

Plug everything into the DriveHub first, then plug the DriveHub into the console, then turn the console on. When I tried plugging everything in with the console already on, nothing was detected.

The game that I showed was wreckfest which is PS5 version. Also I tried various games like f1 2021 and dirt 5 and these wheel work perfectly fine. I am assuming it will work for upcoming gran turismo 7 too. I have been playing it since this console launched with this way and I never had one single issue whatsoever. And no the ps5 controller wont work for this step because its not licensed

@@markweatherall7437 it does not work that way let's say if there's a racing game that says it's compatible with g29 wheel and you either have a g25 or g27. The purpose of drivehub is to trick the console into thinking that the device you plug in is g29 and it emulates your g25 or g27 wheel as g29 wheel

@@rafag7303 Hi mate, ok so drive hub works amazing but got other massive problem with bugs in game, you are allowed to play 5 tracks with shit cars with different music for each track but for me the main menu does not appear, I can go to car dealer but not the rest and that is after update. I just bought the Drivehub to play GT Sport on a PS5, with a ClubSport Wheel V2.5, the drive hub works amazingly well, and the sensations are exactly the same as a compatible fanatec wheel. Unfortunately as stated in the video it disconnect every 10 minutes. Then I just ordered the Hori PS4 controller.

@@ThtsDirty Hi Actually the PS4 controller is here to be the "recognized" official chipset for a supported wheel. It means the collective minds drivehub cheat to make the PS4/5 to send a wheel signal to the hub. Going back to the PS4 controller, the DS4 is not designed to be wired without any signal, then it disconnect. As the Hori gets the chipset and it's wired then you are recognized and not disconnected.

Yes it still works to this day. You still need to use that hori controller to avoid disconnection. I did tried ps4 controller once but it works for 10 mins untill it behaves differently such as the throttle is stuck in full and wheel does not respond to it
