some protip i recently figuret out: you can use distribution offices to take crops from fields into storage, freeing up slots in the farm for more harvesters and tractors

This is helpful though slightly confusing for someone who uses a 6 sigma mentality, since it uses push and pull in opposite ways you described. When your restaurants get low on food they *pull* more supplies via your distribution office. If you had them setup to push, your trucks would keep bringing the stores food based on production output, regardless the stock level of the store. Instead, your gravel example better reflects a push setup where the gravel quarries push out all their production to the storage depending on their output, rather than being requested by the storage based on need. This is just semantics, but I thought I'd point it out. Great guides!

Holy C... . I just learned from your Video, that i don`t need to put a Forktruckstation between a Storage- and a Fabricbuilding. Man thanks a lot. That will make my next Atempt to build a massive Productionline much easier. I stuggeld a lot with Road, Conveyor, Pipeline and Forklift crossings ;-) . In case of the Prefab Productionline i managed to connect 4 Forkliftstations between the Fabric and the 2 Storages to get rid of the Output, and almost went crazy about it. ;-)) . Thank you very very much.

Excellent! Clear, precise and to the point without any messing about. Been looking for such clarity on this issue for a while. I understand that rail distribution offices are now a feature too so could you now do a video for that or if you have already done one then please post a link to it here...

I think the 'Manage Overflow' thing is core benefit of this building. With distribution offices it is possible to export from your coal ore > coal> coal power plant chain without risking to get your power plant run out of coal. Just set Import rate (auto buy function) to 20% (for safety) and your export rate to all above 70% and you will be fine.

Very nice summary. Well done sir. I also wonder about positioning of DO - for push it should be close to source so vehicle returning to DO after run will be closer to source when needed. Equally for the pull and overflow the DO is next to sink, for chain probably it does not matter if it is at sink or source. That would minimize fuel waste when empty trucks return to DO and must go back to source/sink so DO should never somewhere in between. Hopefully i see this correctly?

Great point! I absolutely agree, vehicles should be returning to the point they will most likely be needed so for push it is simple for the other it may be more complex but probably as you say.

3:55 lol yeah Prefab Panels ALWAYS overflow massively. Its just insane how much they pump out. I'm almost considering doing massive freight trains to export that bollocks just because of the sheer volume lol

This is a good video. If you try to mix the push and the overflow from the same center, it wont work well. Because custom border dont have maximum, you will deplete your resource. So creating two centers is the only way to go.

Hmmmm, I may use it for exporting at overflow, because I have already managed all of this routes by hand and It's kinda sad that I'd have to rid of them. However is it really safe? I mean, does it not fall short of transporting goods to say grocery stores? Maybe if there are too many shops or too little trucks then it wouldnt be 100% effective Im guessing. So what do you think, is it better to have a distribution office? Or to run custom made routes.

They do come under strain from time to time but in a large nation they help a lot. The micromanagement of managing all transport with individual routes is significant.

Nr 4 is the pro move; been struggling to efficiently distribute everything everywhere. I suppose if I start supplying to another city, it's just a matter of changing values to 33%, with another, 25%

Excellent video and most appreciated. I can now appreciate the value of those distribution office more than I did, after seeing them in action. It does seem to simplify a level of micromanaging to at least focus it onto an office. It appears to be quite flexible as well. Have you noted any limitations in its use...? Just noted your train signalling video as well, be interesting to see what they do with the next build in regards to path type signals. Trains + Signals = major headaches :) subbed :)

Thanks. There are limits to how many pick up and drop off locations you can add to each distribution office, but to be honest you run out of vehicle slots before you reach the number I feel. I tend to build distribution offices close to most of my facilities to ensure goods movement is managed through these facilities instead of fixed routes. Yeah also looking forward to see how trains and signalling will work going forward.

I don't. For nuclear fuel to power stations I use a helicopter on a line.

99.5% or 8 out of 10 player of soviet republic don't know this kind of stuff. instead they use road vehicle depo.
