I tried this method and the coffee brewed is much better. Previously, I have dipped it with too much hot water and the coffee tasted like water. Great instruction video!

Just found out these exist from a video on coffee bags in England that just sit in the water. A really cool idea especially since it's closer to a drip coffee filter than letting it sit and would give you more control. I've lost a lot of my coffee stuff in a move, this would be so cool as a travel thing or something for me as a student to save space, although a plastic v60 is always good too

If you pour slowly, it will become thicker, but astringency will appear. Pour quickly to get thinner. I take care not to stir the powder when pouring.

If you want to get more coffee overall from the same bag, better pour out the ground first to a cup, add water, stir for 20sec, wait for 30sec, filter the coffee through the empty filter to another cup, drink. Will taste more like a french press.

Mud coffee means drinking the coffee with the muddy ground inside, unfiltered. @Alia ris, I suggest you to do the same as you did, but then filter the coffee through to another cup (with the empty filter), after about a minute of stirring + simmering.

I guess each to their own. Drip vs press, different results... If you prefer more aromatic, fuller body and oils, go for french press. If you like your coffee subtle, flavorful with just the "right" notes, and also less caffeine, go for pour over drip coffee.
