Try doing a master reset then give it another go. You’ll have to add all users on once you’ve done this though

How does this actually connect to the vehicle? Anything going through a third party server, is open to hacking, which is not great.

I have a 2021 Wildtrak and am having lots of problems with the remote functions first time in the morning. Sometimes I need to unlock and lock the doors with the fob then the app works, other times I have to actually start the car manually and let it run for a minute or so before the remote functions of app will work. Once this is done it works every time but every morning it won't work. Dealer has replaced the modem but still has same problem. Any suggestions?

@Greg Nankervis that sounds very strange, I’ve not come across those problems myself. Maybe try resetting your sat nag system then reconnect your phone to the FordPass

Good choice of car!👍 unfortunately older models won’t be able to install the modem for full functionality, but you can still use the app to do things like book a service, or call roadside assistance. I’m not sure when or if the system will be available in South Africa. Regards Webby

@Alok Kumar Kundu Fordpasd was only introduced at the end of 2020, and has only just been included on the mustang in 2022

Hi Webby i have MY19 Mustang, which i installed the fordpass app on a Samsung S9 phone and it worked ok. i just upgraded my mobile to Samsung S22 mobile, reinstalled the app on my new mobile but it's not working correctly. i also reset my Sync 3 unit to factory settings and uninstalled the app on the mobile, downloaded again and installed it again, but still getting the same message. " Enable FordPass on Sync Applink" can you assist to rectify this issue.

@Frank Amato The full functionality of FordPass only became available on the 2022 model Mustang so not sure what features you’re getting. It’s strange that changing phones has stopped it working though. Have you gone into FordPass under the settings section on sync3 to see if it’s enabled?

@@WebbyOnCars I used fordpass just after I purchased the Mustang in 2019, the functions that worked was the fuel gauge, mileage, service history, etc ( but Not remote start, lock & unlock.) No the front screen does not show my car details, but if i click on Account top right corner it shows my car details, Name of vehicle, Vin No. etc. front screen Only shows MY NEWS and Tab Find a dealer, besides the 4 tabs on the bottom. Home, vehicle, service, map.

@@WebbyOnCars Hi Webby ever new mobile, has a new version of android S22 is version 22, S9 mobile was version 9 (keep in mind that there was NO S10 to S19 phone, Samsung went from S9 to S20, the S21, now S22 which has been out for approx 6 months.

@Paradoxical124 Yes you can. When the 2nd person sends an activation request to the car, the 1st person receives a notification which gives them the option to allow or deny the request for security reasons

Only MY20.50 Transit models have the built in modem for the FordPass system, so you won’t get the remote start feature on your van

@Paul G it may be affected by the time zone for your SYNC3 system. Look under the 'general' icon in your settings menu to see what setting you have for the 'time zone' function

@Sam Pritchard if you go into ‘vehicle settings’ on the dashboard, find remote start and one of the options is duration where you get a choice of 5,10 or 15 minutes

@Slick Excel I’ve had a few customers have issues getting the app working fully recently so it might be more of an issue with the server than your app/car. Deleting your car and trying again may solve the problem hopefully 🤞

Unfortunately the modem which is needed for the remote features can’t be fitted to older cars including the Mustang.

Just bought a focus ST on Monday 18/01/2021 build date is 12/20 But their classing it 2021 model APP doesn’t work Won’t show up the picture of the car only show details like fuel and Km etc So NO remote start and the other setting, obviously the ones you really want!! Pretty frustrating for a brand new car, Also every other model except for my automatic focus ST DOES NOT come with heated seats and steering wheel, Euro model has heads up display and heated seats and steering wheel! Pretty annoying after I asked so it has everything like the Manuel version Only difference is automatic (That’s right they say) Ford Won’t do anything about the heated seats and steering wheel 😠 pretty frustrated for buying a new car experience

Your car is designated as a 20.75 the MY21 doesn’t start arriving here until February . From the 20.75 onwards the heated seats have been deleted, but FordPass is standard. Maybe try doing a full reset of your SYNC3 system then reinstall your phone which should make everything work properly. The spec we get here in Australia is always different to other countries, sometimes better but sometimes worse. Sounds like the dealer you bought from didn’t give you the correct information

Thanks for a reply appreciate it, Why the efff did they delete the heated seat option I know it’s Australia but doesn’t mean no one would use them! Europe has them in their my21 model also a heads up display but that looks a bit ugly I understand we don’t get the same features as other countries, but leaving the heating options out BIG disappointment Apart from crying about those 2 things Car is pretty cool 😎

@@jeremyg5396 No worries, happy to help. There's a lot of things Ford change that I don't understand, and I sell them for a living! I don't really understand how they decide what features get put on cars for different countries. I don't think getting rid of the heated seats worries too many people as the seats are cloth not leather, but if you had back problems they'd be handy I guess. I've got them in my own car, but it's got leather seats. I've experienced a couple of issues with FordPass recently so that makes a bit of sense.

I have the Everest 2020.25 and what I read all 2020 models come with the factory build in to the vehicle. Question is how do i activate the stop/start, lock & unlock function?? What do I need to do and also Ford said there will be no extra cost to get it activate.

The built in modem is standard from 20.75 models on the Everest & Ranger, and the system cannot be retro fitted, so unfortunately you won’t have this function in your car

This is info we received from Ford Australia. The 20.75 Everest & Ranger and 20.50 Transit are the first vehicles to launch with FordPass Connect as standard. Older models will have limited functionality of FordPass, including service history, contact info for roadside assistance, owners guides and online service booking.

We can't get the app to even set up an account to start. We have already deleted and tried again but still can't even get the account set up.

@@leannestreeter5167 SYNC3 is the name of the sat nav system. Maybe check your account settings and see if you’ve spelt your email address correctly, failing that maybe try making a new account with a different email address

@Tank P you don’t need to. If you set the climate to auto in the settings it will bring on the heating or cooling automatically when you start the engine using FordPass
