I really love your videos, the way you go through things is so easy to follow without being too long. One thing I am having trouble with is copy plan. I have Plan Details, Copy Link to Plan and Export Plan to Excel- but Copy Plan is not an option on my drop down is that a premium feature?
@officeskillswithamy27 күн бұрын
Thank you so much, I am happy to hear that 🤓 The copy plan is not a premium feature. I would check both the Planner web and Planner Teams app to see if you can access it from the other. Microsoft is rolling out tons of updates to Planner and I suspect that you will see this button soon!

Another person in my audience had a similar issue but they noted that this was because the plans were Private. When the plans were shared with a Team, the copy feature was there. I hope that this helps!

These are some great tips! Has anyone else had issue with the copy plan option disappearing from planner? If so anyone find a work around so we can use our template plans?
@officeskillswithamy24 күн бұрын
Thank you so much. Oh no! I have not heard about the copy plan disappearing, I recorded another video yesterday and the feature was still there for me. Have you tried in both Teams Planner and Web Browser?
@battleplanner23 күн бұрын
@@officeskillswithamy I have the same experience with copy a LINK to the plan, but not the ability to copy a plan (nor copy a bucket). If we can't copy our template plan, then Planner is useless in our organization. If you find a solution, please advise.

@@officeskillswithamy I actually found it was only a issue with "my plans" if I move them to one of my teams, everything copies as I expect.

@@Kaitlin862 I was not successful going through teams. Please let me know how you were able to copy a plan that way.

Hi Amy! I’m coming from Asana and am wondering how I can do a few things in Planner. How do I remove due dates from items that already have a due date? Is there a way to view my tasks in a board view or a way to add sections/headers so that it’s not a giant list of unorganized tasks?
@officeskillswithamy23 күн бұрын
Welcome! For removing the due date, you can double click in the due date column and then use the backspace button to remove the date. As for board view, this is currently on available for reviewing Plans. But if you wanted to view tasks, then you could use the filters at the top right and then sort the Plan column, which would group tasks by Plan. I have another video coming out soon called Planner vs To Do, To Do can also be used for task management and provides an alternative format (I personally use both!) It might be helpful for you to get a rundown of both.

Thank you for such a fast reply! I can’t believe backspace is the solution haha. I kept opening the tasks and looking for an X near the calendar area.

Thank you for posting Amy. I noticed in this video and in others you are adding meeting notes directly from the meeting invite. I've been adding meetings notes from within the active Teams meeting ("notes" icon on the top of the active Teams meeting). But while this puts the notes in Loop, it does not appear to put them in the meeting invite. Am I doing things correctly?
@officeskillswithamyАй бұрын
This works as well. They won't show in the invite because they weren't created at the time the invite was sent. I have a video coming out tomorrow specifically on Teams Meeting Notes, stay tuned!

My ngo has weekly meetings, that are about different topics. What would you do: create the notes in a loop in the meeting link, or something else (because the tasks then get the name of the meeting which is the same every week "weekly meeting", because it's not on a certain topic? Currently we are making a word document for the agenda & tasks that come from it but obviously this is not the best way, would love to hear your thoughts!

Hi, how to to add Planner to my Outlook?
@officeskillswithamy25 күн бұрын
Hello! Someone asked this the other day and my response is below: This feature has been (temporarily?) removed unfortunately. You are not the only one missing this feature as I have read about others that used it regularly in forums. I know that Microsoft is making some big updates to the Teams calendar so perhaps we will see it reappear in a new update. In the meantime, I would suggest sending feedback to Microsoft to request this feature back again.

1. How do you get Planner to show w/out having to search it in the apps? 2. What is there one central area in Planner to enter all of your items? 3. Why is there My Tasks and My Plans? What is the difference? 4. One would expect everything to populate into My Day it if is on your list of things to take care of and according to date or no date. 5. Can we simply this? It seems quite confusing to someone who has never used it and is in need of team organization.
