I DD last night for the very first time. My problem was getting lost. I have google maps on my phone. There were a few occassions when it told me to turn left onto a one way or turn right onto a runway. I was very fustrated. My rating was very low because it took me so long to deliver the food. I will give it another shot tonight. Appreciate the video it helped quite a bit. Thanks

Correct! the standard for Door dash is prescheduled times, however if there are red areas on the map you can jump on board!

A safe blanket is just something you put your food on in order to prevent a spilt on your car seats. Doordash should send you a bag after signing up. As far as the DD shirt, you can wear one if you like but you're not required to

Unless things have changed since your video, it is my understanding that the grey areas mean there are sufficient amount of drivers in that area and nothing to do with the amount of orders.

I could see customers getting angry if a dasher decides on comparable item if customer's original choice wasn't available, even if dasher tried to let customer know and wasn't available to talk. I wonder if selecting nothing is better than guessing what comparable item could replace customer's original desired item. also, nowadays with potential food allergies. thanks for posting, though!

When I start my door dash app it literally says not one order in my whole entire state and all states around me , the whole map is grey. I just become a dasher one day and didn’t even get a chance to do one order. Last night there were so many pink areas to do business in now NOTHING. I was looking out of curiosity last night at how to set up an order and I declined about 10 offers, did that cause me to be fired? I sent screenshots to a customer service agent and called them and they said they have never seen anything like it. Also when I try to schedule orders it says cannot load data because not it right format. I could really use the extra income. Can someone please please please help me out?

It's crazy that you can only 'Dash' at certain times or schedule your driving time. When I drive, between my other two jobs, I turn my Uber, Lyft and DoorDash apps on at the same time and take the first request that comes to my iphone. I don't want to have to turn Uber and Lyft off just to do DoorDash. They need to fix their app to be more like rideshare.

My first doordash was a disaster. I drove 15 miles to a red zone area. I accepted an order, then it navigated me 15 minutes away to the wrong restaurant. At that point I was late. It then navigated me to the correct place, which was next door to were I started. I collected the order. It said to confirm drinks, etc. Then it kept giving me an error code. I could not accept the order in the app and the food was already late. I found the address in the app and used my car navigation to give the person the food anyways. As I approached the house, the app finally caught up and let me deliver it and collect my $5.40. I logged out and went home. Debating if I'm going to try this app again or switch to Ubereats instead.

I turn off the app, since Uber was very busy for me, but Door Dash still sent me calls, and because I didn't pick it up, was very busy with Uber, now they don't really give me rides, I don't have the Dash Now, just when they really need some one, I'm even limited with the schedule, it does not allowed me to get what I want, it fill like they want to punish me for not picking up those calls. So yes, I'd like to be able to pause, so at least they don't get mad at me and I try to get some just when I want.

K C unfortunately no. You only get paid for the distance between restaurant to customer. Keep that in mind when accepting/rejecting offers.

June Breeze. It does this to me as well, if I am trying to start my FIRST dash away from my home area. I have to start my shift close to my home for me to begin my FIRST (and only the FIRST) dash or the app will tell me that I am not at the correct starting point. Hope this helps.

You have to go to the restaurant or place DoorDash tells you to go to, pick up the item and take it to the location on the app. You'll have to accept requests first in order to see that info.

I went from over $300 a week to $150, same hours too. So, I'm doing Waitr right now, they paying more too. No more $300 runs! I'll stay with Waitr as long as I make the money.

The thing that makes me mad is when the customer changes there address the one I had already accepted this the address was 11 miles the new one I called customer services about thisthey told me it would not effect my time but sure enough it did those liars they knocked me down took 33% away from me it rect my 5.00 I guess most of the people are complainers they want u to find the place where there at most houses are in a maze they get upset if u want there help then give u a bad score I reported 2+ tonight that they were unruly to me maybe it was a minute or to late the one woman was upset as she did not tell us no instructions on what place there at I am going all around this place then she comes out and was pissed off I know she gave me a bad rating on this I ended it after they only gave me one run every hour so I called it for the night

It means there are no or very few orders in that area. Pink is a little busier. Red is the busiest. You would have to drive to the busier areas if the one you are in is not busy.

So, I have to constantly keep my face buried in the schedule section every 1/2 hour and schedule time frames/blocks IF they become available and HOPE for an order? That's fucking crazy! What a messy, time consuming, convoluted system. AND, I have to select a starting point??? Who thought this bullshit up??? With Uber Eats just tap GO and you're on-line where ever yo are when ever you want. Simple! Easy! No starting point! No constant schedule hunting!
