I would really like for you to demonstrate how to put together the 17” Kaleidoscope table centerpiece. It would help tremendously after I bought the kit from your store along with most of the hot pads! I know the concept is the same, but for a beginner “quilter” it would give me a reference point to fall to if I get confused/miss a step. P.s.: I bought the template as well!

Yes, this stencil is very versatile and can be used for any pattern using an 8-pt star with 90 and 45 degree alignment. It is a great tool! Thanks for your comment! - Abby

Thanks for video. Got both stencil and Prairie point iron metal Stencil book doesn't tell anything about the binding they should not assume we are quilter's lucky you did video about the binding cut width and to make loop to hang....nothing in book about that....next year Christmas gift.

Hi, Victoria! Jen opted for the largest size possible on the Folded Star Stencil. As for what she placed in the middle, I believe you're referring to the light colored fabric that she drew her measurements on (or are you referring to the batting we used?). Hope that helps! -Michelle

Why do Prairie points make it so the flaps are facing up...wouldn't it be better to have the flaps facing down so it wouldn't get stuck on something?

Great question! You can turn them around if you'd like, but we use the middle as a guide when we're sewing ours down. It's a design preference. 💝 -Michelle

I love to make things. They are not all perfect and I don’t let that bother me. I’d rather have a finished item that shows the warmth and effort put forth to make the item. I don’t wish to be hyper-critical but I feel unworthy when perfection has such a focus in presentation. I was going to purchase the tools when the presentation started, but changed my mind half-way through. I know that I would be questioning my work quality throughout the process so much that I would be disappointed enough to give up. Please move the emphasis from perfection to simply making a nice product. Those who strive for perfection will still do so and those, like me, who want to make a nice product will feel the satisfaction of completing a “nice” product.
