Nice video again ! On my side, two monitors when I share screen. One option I would like to find is to pause screen sharing (option available in Zoom) because sometimes, it allows to look at email, update next slides without showing it to others.

Agreed, that would be nice!

Hi Matt, so much valuable information. It would be great if you could slow down your pace slightly so I can keep up.

Seriously Microsoft! Why in this day any age are you making Teams so difficult to use? Thanks Matt for your workarounds!

Up till recently, it was possible to run a meeting from my desktop whilst following the attendees on my tablet. Has that changed, as of today if I am sharing a screen on my desktop I can only see the attendees as very small icons on my tablet? Is there a way just to see the attendees and not the shared screen on my second device?

thanks Matt. What happening if you don't have the share a window option and only have share the desktop as an option. Why might that be and what can we do to get around that?
@jumpto3653 жыл бұрын
Unsure. You do have windows open right? The app has to be open to share it as a window. Otherwise, that’s an error and you should open a ticket with Microsoft.

When I did it, I could still see my presentation on my second device...until I figured out how to minimize it! Thank you!

Can you share audio with screen share on the TEAMS window browser?
@jumpto3653 жыл бұрын
Don't think so, no. I believe this requires the "modern meeting experience", which is only available in the desktop app. (Mobile app is only just recently available or coming soon.)

Teams is now letting you share a PPT while viewing the chat... You have to upload the PPT to Teams...
@jumpto3654 жыл бұрын
That's not new and also not really the point of this video. For some more details on why I generally don't recommend using the built-in PPT share tool, see here: jum.to/TeamsPPT

A similar problem started occurring for me on Wednesday, June 2: In an MS Teams meeting, I host the meeting and log in with two devices: IPAD and Windows Laptop. IPAD to IPAD screen sharing works; however, IPAD to Windows Laptop, does not receive the screen share. I need to use the Windows Laptop to plug in to project in the classroom. Does anyone know of a recent IOS or MS update that would have caused this? Thanks.

In first listening (and I'm about to listen to iit again), it seems like there are no good options, its a stupid flaw by the MS developers, and you are making excuses for them. It seems to me to be a basic need to know who's in the meeting, etc. while presenting and, to not provide that functionality while worrying about other things shows an arrogance and stupidity at the same time by MS,

Very, very useful. But more slowly please. You are trying to teach others who are, most probably, less proficient users of all these programs/software/ideas etc. So even understanding your words and following what you are doing on the screen is a challenge. Otherwise, all remote working teachers should be familiar with this video

It's really a limitation of physics: two objects can't take up the same space at the same time. Nobody has figured this out in a good way.

Too much work! Too confusing. I'd use Zoom any day. Much more user friendly. I wish Microsoft would have made Teams more easy to use, especially while presenting.

This is the useless app for sharing Powerpoint and see the participant
@jumpto3652 жыл бұрын
How do you suggest that work when you generally use the same screen to share content and view the being? It’s a limitation of physics, not this app. (And I’m the first to critique Microsoft.)
