I’m a business development manager for a water, fire, smoke , mold company My target audience is Plumbers and HVAC companies , we have a referral program of 500 dollars paid out to who ever refers a “for example “ water damage job and we land that job, then that plumber/HVAC/person gets the $500 etc …. Very simple and straight to the point. Having trouble with gate keepers when I walk in not allowing me to even talk to the owner of the company etc , what’s your best advice? How can I get passed these witches lol

Great advice, but I'd tweak one small thing. I never tell them I want to leave them my business card. My strategy is to get them to like me as a person, then give my thirty second pitch. And if I catch their interest they'll want more details, which I happily provide. If I've done my job right, about 90% of the time they'll ASK for my business card. Then they're more likely to actually hold onto it as opposed to tossing it in a drawer and forgetting about me.

+Tyler Harris good point. For me I like to offer them something I know they will say yes to and then I start up a conversation. Thanks for the feedback!

I’m having a hard time walking into stores. I work in the construction field and sell metal. Most of the guys are busy working. They don’t have time to be dealing with a sales guy. I just leave the brochure and leave. How can I get the hang of it. Please help me. When I walk in and how to sell myself.

When you say "I have a really quick question for you"... on your video, you are just tell them right away who you are and pitch them but thats not a question so they can easaly say ... so what was your question? because you are not really asking a question . So why not just say I don't wanna take much of your time I'm here for blah blah blah instead of ... I have a really quick question for you. and never ask the question @ccsalespro
@CCSalesPro

It really depends on what exactly I plan to pitch. If it is plain credit card processing I might ask, “Who are you currently using for payment processing?” If I am going to demo Clover it might be, “How are you currently tracking inventory?” But I want to start a conversation right off the bat
