I had an epiphany while watching a “Clean and Decorate for Christmas with me” video. The KZbinr tried to walk into an extra bedroom but couldn’t because it was filled floor to ceiling with decor and junk. She said she had bought a lot of it for the video but ended up not using it. The sight of that room made me feel some kind of way and reminded me I’m happy with what I already have.

It's amazing when we come to that realization. It really is so liberating! I read somewhere that our homes should not be storage units, but rather a place for rest and peace where we can enjoy the things we have. Thanks for sharing, Michelle! 💕

As a minimalist for 3 1/2 years now, the biggest thing that helps me stay that way is staying out of stores as much as possible! And deciding I wanted to keep my decor pieces WAY down on extras that have to be stored . So I have very little decor yet there are one to three things on each table and buffet as well as lamps that keep it feeling bare. There are now way less pictures on the walls and nothing sitting in floor baskets to make things look more cluttered. I only have a little fall potpourri to put in plates and bowls, and I bring in a few beautiful colored levels that look nice for a few days. I have No Spring, Easter, Summer, 4th of July, Halloween decor at all! No seasonal sofa pillows to change out any longer. And Christmas decor has been cut WAY back. So my house stays cosy minimalist and tidy all the time since there are no longer children living here. So peaceful!

Yes My Gran had 7 off us live with her..Our home was bueatiful clutter free clean She had time for each one off us ..I would definitely say because she lived with less is why we had such a quality off life ..we wanted for nothing.. All the best I'm loving your channel Blessings ⭐
